    World Cup Citings

I was waiting to see what would happen this week:
Fijian and Argentine Cited....Did anyone else see the High round the neck tackle / clear out that Burger got away with V Japan...now thats one for the Citing officer IMO

Yup. Burger turned him over with his neck to the other side. Garces opted out a few times on refereeing South Africa. I also thought Japan should and would have been awarded a penalty try sooner in the dying moments except it was SA and GArces wasn't going to make that decision. Luckily for Japan they managed it the hard way.
Tic-Toc. POC and DOC. Stop the clock.

Galarza given 9 weeks for contact with Retallick's eye. Still not sure how Carter got away without being cited but good to see them cracking down on gouging.

Maybe they thought they could do without the explosion of holier than though priggery that would have evacuated the land of the AIG/ adidas sponsored Haka.

No sign of any citings for damage to Pocock last night yet. Surely one anyway

Fiji winger Nemani Nadolo and Romania second-row Valentin Ursache have been cited for foul play at the Rugby World Cup.

Nadolo has been cited by Citing Commissioner Freek Burger (South Africa) for an alleged act of foul play contrary to Law 10.4(j) ' Lifting a player from the ground and dropping or driving that player into the ground' during his side's 28-13 defeat by Australia in Cardiff on Wednesday. His case will be heard on Monday, just three days before Fiji face Wales.

Meanwhile, Ursache has been cited by Citing Commissioner James Absaloms (Kenya) for an alleged act of foul play contrary to Law 10.4(e) 'Dangerous tackling' during his team's 38-11 loss to France on Wednesday. The hearing will take place on Friday.

ITV were suggesting that Wales are considering citing Tom Wood after the England game last night. Anybody have anymore info?

I thought it was a citing commissioner who decided?

In which case the Wales consideration was just bringing it to the attention of the citing commissioner so they have effectively done it.

At the phase of play where himself and scott williams (I think - it was the hand off where he jarred his shoulder) did themselves, there was a fumble that williams tried to dive on - at the same time tom woods came through and tried to fly hack the ball - it was initially thought that there was a clash of heads but woods kicked through liam williams head accidentally.
The system is dead! Long live the process!

Reckless the same as Carter on the Pumas lock. Nothing happened to Carter.

Australia's Hooper cited and to face hearing. Sam Burgess cited but let off with warning.
