    Warm-up 1) Ireland V Italy - Saturday 10th Aug - 14.00

Very heavy weather to be shovelling down bowlfuls of Leaderbean Cassoulet but shovel we must!

Taking a WFG I can foresee Dave Kearney start this game, for no reason other than he is Dave Kearney
    I am the million man.

A loss with no injuries would be the best possible result.

A couple of new attacking shapes would do no harm either....

I suspect we’ll hold them back for the RWC final.

G’wan Jean and Mike H on your first caps.

Great to see TOD back too

Probably next year or the year after next they will take some stopping"

                      Rugby's back!

Like the look of that team, and a great chance being given to Kleyn, TOD, Farrell and, hopefully, Haley.

It will be really interesting to see how Herring takes his chance with Niall Scannell itching to get on.

Tadhg Beirne has a battle to get into the final 31 imo.
"I don't believe in fairytales," O'Connell once told me, "even though it feels like I've been lucky enough to live through a few. However it ends, I'll feel lucky."

The media stories will probably be dominated by Kleyn, but for me the biggest and most interesting decision is starting Farrell at 12, this may be his chance to show some versatility for final squad inclusion or it might rule him out.

He needs to have a big game in an unfamiliar starting position.

On RTE too it seems, jesus they must have scraped a few schillings together.

From the look of the bench it seems that Beirne may get a run in the backrow. With a good game, his versatility may gain him a place in the final squad.
Even if Haley has a blinder, I would not like to see him make the squad ahead of Conway, based on past performances. Haley is quite lucky to be there at all. He is OK but nothing special and not that consistent. I'd have Addison ahead of him too.

The IRFU can’t really be charging much for a B/C team rugby friendly against a B team from a poor rugby nation, but no doubt RTE probably paid way over the odds anyways
