Leicester humiliates Bougoin 57 - 3

    Leicester have destroyed Bourgoin in a 8 tries 57 - 3 victory.

Bourgoin has obviously given up and the performance they put up is indignous of one of the top French teams.

Not surprising since Cardiff are a decent team, and Bourgoin aren't.

Unless you're watching the Test Match, then you really should be in bed, Point.

I wonder will Bourgoin even bother to turn up in Geneva or just give us the walk over ?

Actually that could be an important result. If somhow Munster and Leicester finish up on equal points at the end of the pool section, the team with the most tries scored goes through.

the ERC have to look in to this-a team that clearly does not want to play wrecks the integrity of the pool and throws it into a lottery as to@@@@SPAN style="font-weight: bold;"> when@@@@/SPAN> you play bourgoin.

This is not the first time-bourgoin did it last year too. The ERC should ban bourgoin from the HEC for 2 years and either give the place to the highest magners league non qualifier one year and guinness premiership the year after or vice versa

a result like this may ensure leicester get a runners up spot infront of wasps or stade etc and its simply not right

If the lessons of history teach us anything it is that nobody learns the lessons that history teaches us.

It's not the only skewed result this weekend.Look at the Biarritz, Saints, and Wasps results? And last week it was Ospreys, Saints and Wasps.

The HEC must be right-sized - 3 from Ireland & Wales, 1 from Scotland and Italy, 4 from England and France.Make it 16 teams and the quality of the tournament would be much higher.

yes its so dissapointing to here about bourgoin when teams like bath and quins would grace the competition. A bath/tigers game yesterday would have filled the stadium and people would have tuned into sky to watch it.

i have a bit of sympathy with the italian teams-they have made great strides over the last few years, particularly treviso, but are clearly out of their depth this year with the exception of a good calvisano performance in swansea.

However bourgoin are different, any of us who have watched le rugby over the years have always seen and respected a capable team that bourgoin are, however they clearly do not want to take part in the HEC and their continued inclusion, imo, is therefore unwarranted.

The problem is that the leading Italian teams have lost virtually all of their best players to France and English clubs in the last few seasons. So theItalian league is much weaker.

Agree with the idea OD. Add the fact that the Challenge cup would also become much more interesting and of course the ML would get a competitive lease of life as well.
