Wednesday, 06 December 2006 12:01

Michael Cheika has annouced the Leinster squad to take on Agen

The Leinster squad to face Agen in the Pool 2 Heineken Cup clash in Lansdowne Road, kick-off at 5.30pm, has been named.

Girvan Dempsey returns to the 25-man squad who drew 6-6 with Ulster last weekend. He is joined by the likes of Brian O'Driscoll, Shane Horgan, Malcolm O'Kelly, Keith Gleeson and Gordon D'Arcy who kicked his side's points in Ravenhill.

Meanwhile, Cook Island prop Stanley Wright has also been included in the squad after signing on a short-term contract. The 28-year-old has been a regular for Northland in the NPC for the last three seasons.

    LEINSTER SQUAD (v Agen):
Forwards: Ronan McCormack, Reggie Corrigan, Brian Blaney, Harry Vermaas, Stanley Wright, Trevor Hogan, Malcolm O'Kelly, Owen Finegan, Cameron Jowitt, Stephen Keogh, Keith Gleeson, Jamie Heaslip.
Backs: Chris Whitaker, Guy Easterby, Andrew Dunne, Christian Warner, Denis Hickie, Rob Kearney, Gordon D'Arcy, Brian O'Driscoll (captain), Kieran Lewis, Shane Horgan, Luke Fitzgerald, Girvan Dempsey.

I expect the Ladies to win this at home. Their season depends on the result in many ways.

The loss of Dr. Phil (pictured below) is a blow however

I've forked out €66 for a pair of stand tickets to this game, soall I'm hoping for is €33 worth of entertainment.A fourtry home win would be nice, but I'd also settle for a10 try game with a Cau-cau hat-trick, irrespective of who wins!

A large degree of the potential entertainment value will be dictated by the weather I reckon.

                The forecast isn't too good.
