Fun game to watch. Helter skelter stuff. The Cheetahs are the tough opposition for a team that likes to play fast and loose. Suits them down to the ground.

When Connacht tightened things up a bit in the second half they managed to just about maintain control but they made it hard for themselves.

Btw, Jack Carty’s tactical kicking in a strong wind was, at times, sublime. Was probably the winning of the game. Neither Sexton nor Joey have shown that level of finesse with the boot in some time. Something of a lost art in Irish rugby since the days of ROG.

Just finished watching the recording of it. Cracker of a game, really entertaining. Carty would have been my MOTM, the kicking was a joy to watch and as you say something that is all too rare these days. Would love for one of our OHs to bring that to their game.
      Tis but a scratch.

Tis on TG4 if you prefer - no issue with sound balance there. I've noticed that alright with some games on d'telly recently, the commentator is clear as a bell but you can barely hear the crowd or the ref.
That was a lovely opening try for Connacht a couple of minutes ago.

Bad decision by the TMO. Player was miles away from making a tackle.

Three tries now - could have the BP wrapped up by half time.

Godwin (blockdown aside) has really stepped up to the mark IMO. Connacht are coping with the conditions a lot better than Ospreys, both in terms of kicks off the tee and out of hand. In fact it's the lineout darts which are worse affected.

Penalty try for the BP, YC for Ospreys no. 11 for deliberate knock-down which prevented a try being scored. A good afternoon's work so far for Connacht.

And there's the fifth. I can't remember a game in which so many tries were scored under the posts.

For some reason Premier couldn’t/wouldn’t show this in the UK. Really weird because they claim to have the rights to, and have promised to show, every game. They originally had it scheduled but then changed it to their “This is Premier Sports” morkeshing ****e on a loop.

Pretty annoying cod sounds like it was a good game.

Godwin is a quality player btw. Has looked the business any time I’ve seen him.

Great to see Connacht doing the business yesterday- huge result to put such distance between themselves and odpreys. With Benetton and Cardiff at home and Zebre away, they should be snugly in a play off place by the time the come to us. Assuming we both beat travelling Cardiff, Cardiff are out of contention, 8 points adrift after yesterday ospreys have an easy looking run in, dragons, kings , cheetahs and Cardiff- but the last three are all away. 13 points secures it for Connacht whatever ospreys do, and I’d be very surprised if they get max points. Connacht in the box seat- great turnaround after last year.
