    Hanging up their boots thread

Fair few announcements of players announcing retirement this week,
    Tim Visser ( winger) Scotland
    Allly Hogg. ( prop). Scotland
    And now Andrew Trimble Ireland
thought we should have a separate thread retirements not as a result of injury.

Tim Visser one is odd considering he's only retiring from international rugby. He's only 30 and it's a year before a world cup...

Vincent Clerc also finishing at the end of the season. Class player. Our bête noir for a while in the 6N.

Also known (affectionately for the most part) as 'For ****s Sake' Mafi. Lovely man and never held back in our colours, like a proto Sammy Arnold. That year with Rua at 12 calling the shots was his golden year - is he the last man who actually played in 2008 HEC Final to retire? I recall that Nyanga came on as a sub for ST. He had his limitations but heart and loyalty were not two of them.
That try against Clermont away for the losing bonus point.
That monstering of Chabal at home.
That run straight up the middle of TP on his Euro debut v Bourgoin.
                        Fine memories.
Good luck in all that you do, big fella.

Himself and Donners are the last to retire of those who actually played.

Stringer, Ryan and Earls were unused subs on the day

Is Gregory Lamboley still playing at La Rochelle?
He's a guy who gets up at six o'clock in the morning regardless of what time it is.
