    McHugh leaves Connacht for Montpellier

    <DIV =LeadPara>MARK McHugh, Connacht's second top scorer of all time, is leaving the province after six seasons and moving to France. </DIV>
    <DIV =LeadPara>The 28-year-old has agreed a two-year deal with Montpellier, but could take up an offer from another French club if they are relegated at the end of this season. </DIV>
    <DIV =TailParas>"I have had six great seasons with Connacht but it is now time to move on and I am very much looking forward to playing in France," said McHugh. </DIV>
    <DIV =TailParas>McHugh is hoping to become the seventh Connacht player to make a century of appearances for the province and follow in the footsteps of Eric Elwood, Dan McFarland, Darren Yapp, Matt Mostyn, Michael Swift and Andrew Farley. </DIV>
    <DIV =TailParas>He was due to achieve that feat at Glasgow last week but missed out with a hamstring injury and now hopes to make his 100th appearance in the away ties to Newport Gwent Dragons or Llanelli. </DIV>
    <DIV =TailParas>"It would be a great way to sign off," said McHugh, who crowned his only Irish cap against Tonga almost four years ago with a try. </DIV>
    <DIV =TailParas>Connacht CEO Gerry Kelly paid tribute to McHugh. </DIV>
    <DIV =TailParas>"He has given wonderful service to Connacht and we wish him all the best. It was great that Mark became an Irish international while with Connacht," he said. </DIV>
    <DIV =TailParas>McHugh lies second behind Elwood in the all-time Connacht scoring charts with 460 points. </DIV>
