Leicester's Argentine prop Marcos Ayerza has been cited for allegedly striking or punching an opponent in the Heineken Cup win over Stade Francais.

Ayerza will face an independent disciplinary hearing at an as-yet unconfirmed date over the alleged incident in Sunday's 21-20 win.

If found guilty, he could be ruled out of the semi-final against the Scarlets at the Walkers Stadium on 21 April.

Loose-head Ayerza, who has 11 Pumas caps, joined Leicester in summer 2006.

If he'sfound gulity, he should get 4 weeks, the same as Bergamasco did.

Rugby is a strange game though - Jackman, Payne,Worsley and O'Kelly all traded punches on Saturday but because Jackman was penalised that's theend of the story for all of them. The "punishment" meted out was a chance of 3 points to Wasps which they took.
New infraction avoidance policy: a post may be described as imbecilic, but its author should never be described as an imbecile.
