Ah my boy, t'is a master stroke.

How many column inches will be left in the sports pages tomorrow for reports of Rogers meeting with the Sans-culottes? How many radio waves will carry the bleating of the sheep? The supporters clubs won't even get a bourbon cream biccie let alone someone to listen to them.

Which is sad really. it's more supporters is what the Regions need.
7k to turn up to see Scarlets v Clermont the other day is a joke shop.

                  ESPN on the attack :

@espnscrum: It's telling the only rugby figure the WRU can seem to persuade to stay in Wales is a Kiwi ...

                  In contrast :

@WalesOnline: Brilliant news for Welsh rugby fans. Warren Gatland signs contract to stay as Wales head coach until at least 2019. http://t.co/hr6xcqDi80

It's all going to kick off in the media shortly. No doubt the Pro PRL outlets are going to have a dig. Not sure how much traction the supporters will get in the media, following their WRU pow wow, but rest assured they will blast it all over the social media outlets.

Exactly, and that is HCup,why do they think their prayers would be answered joining the PRL!
There are more fundemental issues with the state of Welsh rugby that need addressing.

I agree. But WRU would argue that they fill the MS for international matches and the failure of the regions not to have big crowds is indicative of the "failure of the regions". Ie - not the WRU's fault.

In fairness no one in Galway ever tried to claim that "West is Best" or to be the home of Irish Rugby,

An outstanding achievement, all things considered....

How are Wales contributing 3.2mil in secondary tv rights compared to our 910k? Seems ridiculous? Although I suppose they have to be watching the games somewhere...

That was also my question. Ireland have BBC NI, TG4 and RTE covering the games, and they're going to contribute £910k, while BBC Wales and S4C contribute £3.2m?
