Don't forget he's only young. 2 or 3 years from now it'll be interesting to see how much he's bulked up.

After years of Paulie and Donners, it seemed the cupboard should be very bare, and it was, but there’s a very real prospect now of 4+ really outstanding lads, with Ryan being the older experienced one.

James Ryan, the older experienced one. At 23. That's mad Ted.

I was thinking nationally, not just focusing on the Pale

Good news, best of luck to the lad
"There are a lot of points that we’ve left behind and this is with a young group. That probably tells you what they’re capable of and that they’re a very good side.

Probably next year or the year after next they will take some stopping"

It does seem longer. Great example of that “Dublin based biased media” all the same.

Fergus McFadden has announced his retirement. A very good player for Leinster who got the maximum from his talents.

One of the most misguided and ill judged articles every written about Irish rugby. Saved Cheika the hassle of a coming up with a team talk. Looks even more ridiculous and smug reading it back now. The dismissal of Isa Nacewa who for my money is by some distance the best ever import in Irish rugby tells you a lot about how blinkered his view was. His article published the following week was in many respects even more toe curling, no grace in defeat

Congratulations to Fergus McFadden on calling time on a his career too, might well have got more Irish caps if his prime didn't clash with the likes of Bowe & Trimble, and Zebo to a lesser extent

He had a shocking run of injuries too. Hope he enjoys his retirement. Met him once with my boys, he was lovely to them. Decent guy.
