Great game. Well played by both teams.

I have a possibly irrational dislike of Itoje, he was great though. he’s like Saracens’ Quinnie

Just when you think Sarries couldn't be doing any better for themselves you see their WAGs.

Really hoped Exeter would win- but 3 point margin in a 70 point game was pretty close- saracens are some side, (grudgingly) fair play to them.

£60m.. interesting mix of shareholders, two guys 46%, 9% (both named Tom!) and a consortium of 10k fans who together own 39%. Will be interesting to see what happens.

They seem to have been very decent to the football club, despite the murky money, and in an odd sort of way keeps it ‘local’. Hope it works for the tigers.

Assume they'll have to offload a few players now to remain within the actual salary cap.

You would like to think so but I wouldn't bet on it. They'll probably just find a way around the ruling. We'll see though. Pretty significant sanctions though.

                          Are there any European sanctions?

the idea that they can concentrate fully on Europe and just get enough points not to be relegated is a tad unfair.

And you'll find delusional Sarries fans on here swearing on their babies lives that the spine of their team is home developed. They likely robbed both us and the Leinster of European titles in the recent period.

No, there's no salary cap in Europe so no potential for sanctions there I would have thought. If that 35 points reduction is upheld after their inevitable appeal, they'll probably need the guts of 60pts from their remaining 19 matches to avoid relegation (unless one team absolutely stinks the place out) and a likely 80-85 points to make next season's Heineken Cup.
