Those places (not sure about Rugby 365) at least produce some original content.

True, my original post was to make the point that depending on who you believe, it was either Sarries' idea or the EPL's.

The British media has been rife with suggestions that Wray may be ready to pull the plug on some of his involvement with Saracens, despite strong denials to the contrary.

Wray fuelled speculation about his future at the club after deciding not to travel to Bath for Friday’s Premiership clash"

It seems he doesn't feel safe at an away ground.
He cannot be serious. Does he think that some irate fans will assault him ? Get real. If fans aren't assaulting each other, they aren't going to track him down in the stands and take a swing at him. He doesn't want to hear the boos, be called a cheat, etc. I have a feeling he'd not like to run into the Exeter chairman down at Sandy Park b/c that guy would give him a piece of his mind and it wouldn't be very friendly. For all their big talk about values, not turning up in Cardiff and now Wray not going to away matches, it shows you what they are really made of. They should just man up and take the heat. How they are being allowed to play this season with the same group is beyond me b/c they have to be breaching the cap again.

LI were also down to 14 after losing a prop just before halftime.

true, but that display off the tee was downright poor. Most of them were kicks you expect a professional rugby player to make 9/10 and Sheedy and Lioyd missed at least 10 points worth.

Read somewhere recently him saying he’d been approached by Lamb to go play there and briefly considered it but decided to stick with the decision to retire.

Rob Baxter saying Exeter still not putting any store in Saracens results this season because they’re still “not real” and that a line hasn’t been drawn under this thing yet.

Similar to many of us, seems to think that if they were in breach when they built that squad, they must still be now. Interesting just how much anger there is amongst other clubs.

Meanwhile, the LNR has hardened its stance on the salary cap in France after it was challenged by Montpellier.

Being able to maintain the current squad allows them to be competitive and still have the advantage that they are supposedly bring penalised for. It’s entirely likely that this penalty will have no effect on them.

The results of then investigation should not have been kept quiet until after the World Cup, expecting a club to cull squad members once a season has started isn’t realistic. They should have been available much earlier, a three year investigation is a joke. Mechanisms should be in place to ensure clubs are compliant every season so that cheating can’t occur for two or three seasons in a row, or in this case it looks like 4 seasons.

Maybe not, but forced pay cuts certainly would have been. Every co-investment should have been broken up and paid out or the player doesn't set foot in the training facility and doesn't play, and every player paycheck should have gone thru the GP offices and have accountants verify that they are cap compliant. IMO, taking their titles and forcing them to trim the squad by releasing players would have sent the best message b/c Saracens essentially have one lost season in their league and a 5 million pound fine as the price for all those trophies. I'm sure Nigel Wray is only upset that they got busted and can't continue juicing his team financially to keep "winning." Saracens values my ass.

I don’t think anyone has the power to force paycuts on any contracted players, and a players is not at fault for accepting a contract, they have no information on the wage structure. Likewise nobody has the power to wind down a company because of the breach of a salary cap.

If the club is going to be in breach this season again then they should be thrown out of the league and while Sarries have been guilty of breaking the rules for a long time the authorities have been to slow to punish them which is equally unfair on every other club.
