PBC didn't create anything of note. Got field position from Crescent mistakes and their bigger pack won the battle close to the line to score 2 tries. Will be interesting to see how they cope with Munchins/Castletroy in a semi final.
Would say the team that comes from CBC, Crescent & Rockwell would be favourites in a final.

Munchins despite 0-40 loss to CBC in IIP get a QF vs PBC in the Junior Cup, Castletroy however had no such safety trap as they lost out to PBC 10-42 and went out altogether.

ArdScoil beat Rockwell to go straight into the semis with CBC.

So; Munchins v PBC (QF) v Ard Scoil
Rockwell v Crescent (QF) v CBC

Watched both semis.. Fancy PBC to won final.

Of losing teams I mpressed by halfback for Munchins, 12 for Rockwell.

Kendellan is a very good player for PBC but looks small for number 8 already. Maybe they'll look at him at 7 as he progresses. Both flankers for PBC are big athletes, interested to see how they develop both look like 6's at pro level. Wingers took their tries very well.

Interesting that Munster u19 Scrumhalf O'Connor was on bench behind u17 o'mahony for cbc. Cbc 10 very classy.

Was great to be able to watch the games on livestream. I thought the overall standard was very high in both semi finals.

I really do wish they would move to a pool based system for the quarterfinals (8 teams in 2 pools of 4). 3 games each and then play either the final directly (maybe with a 3rd place play off also) to ensure the pool games keep interest to the end. Teams finishing bottom of the pools would need to play in qualifying tournament the next year).

All of those young fellas and their coaches have put in a mountain of work and they all deserve to have a minimum of 3 serious championship level games to test themselves.

Rockwell 12 is Jake Flannerys brother, Alan. Looks very talented.

CBC 10, Whooley was very good.

PBC look the strongest side. Kendellan was their main player. Very smart player. Their winger Hurley also stood out. He looks a very good athlete. Also from what I saw the number 5, O'Halloran, put in some good hits.

there was a pool system before Christmas. Not sure another is needed. The change to having group games was great. Went to one of them before Christmas. But dont see need to have another group stage after the first set of group ganes

assume so if earlier games are.

I've seen Leinster schools rugby on freesports over here, but not noticed any Munster schools games (yet!). I'll be on the lookout now.

there hasn't been any on freesports yet and it will only be final shown. Leinster is only schools competition with games other than final shown live on TV.

Munchins powered past Ard Scoil today in the Junior cup 38-15, their 15, Oisin Pepper getting a hat trick, ASR had no real answer to a good possession game by Munchins mixed in with getting the ball out quick and in behind.
