I'd imagine it was BOD. He's really the only Irish player who isn't afraid of the boks.

Seems like it. Although I'd love to see Neil Best being brought on with 10 mins to go, with the game absolutely beyond South Africa, and when a sinbinning wouldn't hurt us Just for the craic

... not really sure on what basis you'd say that the rest of the Irish players ARE afraid of the boks.

Btw, I'd also go with BOD. No doubt it's a 'back' thing.

I think they pay them too much respect Loop- afraid was the wrong word. I just think BOD has that sort of natural arrogance that comes with being one of the best players on the world and I genuinely think he's no respect for flat track bullies.

I think he's be the most likely to tell them to f*** off. Probably is a backs thing though. Never had much time for backs myself

For a hard bunch of lads those saffers are very sensitive old
souls. The cribing about which Lions jerseys they got took the
biscuit.

Smit says there were no incidents??? He seems to forget about the disgraceful eye gouge by Burger
To not give it everything, is to sacrifice the gift.

Smit was all grins and winks on Friday night early on, but the French put the grin on the other side of his face by about mid way through the second half.

For me, that was great to see. I hate these prigs who go around doing that - no exceptions.

Quite the contrary.

How can you respect a team that has a thug like Schalk Burger on it or coached by an imbecile like De Villiers?. It's a hard game and you have to be able to give and take the hits but a deliberate attempt to seriously injure a player is a bridge too far. For the coach then to come out and publically say he saw nothing wrong with it. If it was an Irish player who refused to 'share a post match beer' all the better. Correct decision.

Read the article. (The invitation for the beers went out prior to any Test being played).

Saffers are ignorant and arrogant pigs in general(except Shaun Payne and Jean De Villiers), Why would you want to go for drinks with them?
Botha, Du Plessis, Smit, Brussow, Burger, Peter De Villiers, Habana etc, that's far too many assholes in one room and I wouldn't blame the Lions for not wanting to associate with some of the thickest human beings on the planet.
