If the 97 one is 'Living with Lions' then you're in for a treat.
The best rugby film ever, by a long chalk

Watched it myself over the weekend for about the 100th
          time, unquestionably brilliant.

2001 one isn't half bad either - great shot of wilkinson in the dressing room on his own at the end. Very fitting considering what he goes on to to do in the same stadium against the same opposition 2 years later
Girlfriend\'s English Boss: That Gaelic Football you lot play is a bit mad isn\'t it?

Girlfriend: That\'s nothing, you should watch a game of hurling. Think hockey except the ball is harder, it flies around the place and the sticks have bits of metal on the end of them.

            GEB: Woah, sounds dangerous.

GF: Yeah, you can understand why some lads wear helmets, sure people have died.

GEB: What, from being hit in the head?

GF: No, they were shot by the English.

I own a copy of the 1997 & 2005 Tour DVDs - watch the 2005 one twice and haved watched the 1997 one at least 200 times. As a under age coach the extra features on coaching on the 1997 discs are excellent and I recommend them to any coach at any level.
Its deja vu all over again!!!

Telfers scrummaging session has gone down in history as
the hardest session in the history of the game!

Evans puking, Howley despair, Johnson tough as nails. Quality stuff.

Don't know, Syd Millar used to have all the forwards on the 1974 tour milling each other in training!

They were doing that as well, remember the rumours
about the Quinnell - Johnno fight!

Wally was interviewed when the DVD came out and he said
it was an incredible session, the more tired they were the
harder Telfer pushed them, he was even kicking and
punching them as they drove in.

Anyone recommed any good Lions books? Read the late Karl Johnson's account of the 1983 tour ("The Lions in Winter" a million times when I was younger.

John Reason also did books on every tour from 1968 to 1980 IIRC...1974 one was fairly controversial as he basically said winning the series 3-0 was no great achievement as the Boks were crap.

"The Lions speak" was a series of essays by Carwyn James and several players from the 1971 tour explaining how they beat the AB's, still v good even today.

Would it be worthwhile making a sticky of good rugby books/DVD's???

1997 is class, Will Greenwood dies.

2001 is alright, the rugby is the highlight.

2005 is directed by Alastair Campbell.
