dont forget to buy your tickets. 180million and it has to be won. if no one gets 7 numbers then it gets shared between the people who got 6 (there were 12 last week)

and dont forget to make a donation to munster when your rich!

Forget the irfu buy MUNSTER and make them the national team as it is now

I like those odds. €18m would be ok if it gets divvied out.

€180m has a better ring to it however.

17th-November-2006, 12:19
I would spend €150 million on women and drink, the rest I would just squander

definitely never going to do euro millions now - what are the chances of it being won 3 times in limerick?

20th-November-2006, 10:17
I think the odds are the same as if it was never won here.

The odds of it being won here 3 times on the bounce are huge. But if
you enter the draw next time, that is not your gamble. You'd be
betting on the 1 off.

Does this make any sense statisticians?

Don't know howEuromillionsworks, whether there is a quota system between the countries or whatever, but if it is simply based on a random selection of balls then the draw in one week should be independent of previous draws, so the fact that it has been wontwice in Ireland already is of absolutely no consequence whatsover.

Does anyone think the amount of time rte spend discussing this, or any lotto jackpot is excessive?
on tonight's news the guy was wetting himself with excitement while reporting it.
These kind of lotteries amount to another tax, I know someone picks up a jackpot but the odds are ridiculous.
if people want to do a lottery do one that keeps the local clubs head above water

Hugged Rugger

Hopefully a good sized syndicate. I'm in one in work which I do euromillions with and buy the odd line for the big draws too but I'd nearly prefer not to win that much. I'd be happy to clear the mortgage and be able to have a pension without being a millionaire.

I think that they are keeping stum on where it has been bought. Proper order too. Ireland is too small for it not to be worked out from where a ticket was bought.

A syndicate in the Johnston & Johnston plant in Cork I believe.

Earlier reports were there were twenty of them.

I've heard since it's about 30.

Nice few quid.

Good for them!

Latest news about the location of the sale of the winning ticket doesn't really tie in with the winners being from a plant in Cork.

Winning Ticket was sold in Dublin.

Still, you never know I suppose. We'll have to wait and see.

Daithi
26th-January-2017, 19:22
hmmm, me thinks syndicate/employees/company were none too happy with their identity being revealed hence why this smokescreen...

can't think why the original story would have been so specific otherwise, but maybe I'm missing something other than the 88 m euros of course.

p.s. on a general point I hope to God whoever wins this is in a syndicate otherwise it will likely drive people over the edge and winning 88m will ironically turn out to be the worst thing that ever happened to them. This is the sad but true outlook for most lotto multi millonaires.

p.p.s. any of you who may feel over burdened with winning too much, pm me and i'll happily ease your load a bit. I'm 'good' like dat!! ;)

Hugged Rugger

Delores while having lost some money here and there seems to be managing ok but studies to seem to find a surprisingly high level of bad stories for winners. I know 88m could change lives of all your family but sometimes I think paying off mortgage is as much as I would want. But, having a special needs son, to be able to put a chunk of money into a trust and know however he turns out finances won't be an issue would be a massive relief
