After a shaky start can Munsters go up to Barnhall this weekend and get a result ?





The league seems to be much different than last year it wont loose 1 game and loose the league it seems to be much more competitive.

Same startingteam as last week for Young Munsters. Barnhall are suppost to be very strong this year and have put alot of money into players to push for a promotion spot. Should be a good game tomorrow if the weatherholds up.

Some kiwi outhalf barnhall have apparently and a strong pack, they lost to Grestones away last week beat Trinity and beat Malone, should be a good test. Munsters snuck a win up there 2 years ago in injury time with a drop goal in a mtch they didnt deserve to winand matches since have always been tight

My 1999 Dell Dimension won't take the camera software[img]smileys/cry.gif[/img]

Even sadder to report we were very poor today - strange match in that
we dominated set pieces but barnhall ran everything back at us and
three of their tries were score from deep.

Just arrived at kick off, whatever happened I don't know but barnhall
ran in under the posts from about half way!!?? we then missed a
penalty v near 22 in front of posts????

They then scored again under the posts from woeful, absolutely woeful
backs tackling.....we came back up and pressurised through a series of
scrums, we were over the line on three occassions but barnhall held us
up, eventually darragh payne? went over eventhough I thought he knocked
it on in trying to ground the ball....barnhall went straight back down
and scored under the posts!!



Second half and again we're dominating possession, but barnhall score a
lovely try out wide and outhalf slots a difficult conversion....mick
lynch then had a set to with their outside centre but to be fair I
think even lynchy knew he was in trouble - yer man was about 6'
4"....we went over at the death and missed conversion....

poor enough....lynch kicked away virtually everything and honan had a
few gos at him for it.....forwards played well and we got plenty of
ball but didn't do anything with it.....

A terrible performance form Munsters, Barnhall had some great backs though even allowing for the poor tackling that blondie winger and centre were exceptional. Munsters dominated the scrums, lineouts but couldn't do anything with it, a bad day at the office, a few weeks rest might do them good, haven't seem to clicked at all this season. I thought Wayne Murphy did well when he came on at full back.

Yuo never know Ruch have faith maybe its the kind of game if we win it coul dget our season on track. Only 7 points between us and top team so the 3 games before xmas are massive if we have any hope of getting promoted.





Last year we played Bohs they played there AIL team and played our players that needed game time and we got slaughtered.

one try each. Brodrick got the try for munsters near the end of the game


Wayen Murphy kicked 7 pens and conversion, a good player, Mick Lynch played at FB.


Carlows FB was red carded for stamping even though it was clearly the number 8.


Munsters scrum and Lineout dominated, but poor decesion making and Carlows disruption at the breakdown prevented more tries.
