Taz-Where did you get that information as I have seen nowhere that he(Penney) was ruled out?

Editor-- This article originally said Rob Penney had missed out on the Munster coaching job. That information was incorrect.
My kid noticed the stilt walkers were absent. We were on the ET this time, but I wouldn't miss them. The ones with the deer heads weren't bad and were somewhat ominously symbolic, but the ones with the pseudo battle gear on are trite and extremely unconvincing. Hippy boheme actor types trying to rouse the troops is like trying to stoke a fire with a wet rag. Don't get me wrong. I've nothing against hippy bohemian actor types - It's just a bit chalk and cheese in the stadium context. What are they supposed to be some kind of celtic viking gladiator types? I can't figure it out - it's confused. I'm thinking..."Yeah - you look battle hardened and fierce alright!....Like Frodo Baggins!" (and what the hell is with the patchwork Munster flagged Uncle Sam kit???? *rolley eyes*)
So when the girl with the plastic breast plate hobbles out on the stilts with the grace of a crane fly and looks me in the eye and punches the air with an aimless upper cut and shouts an insincere - "come on Munster", I try to be polite but can only muster a half smile and a pitiful nod. Please tell me they've been sacked. I think they are actually counter productive.
Oh - and Oscar gets the two thumbs up and cool seal of approval from my kid!

I miss the Drum heartbeat routine as the teams are about to come out - that used to give me goosebumbs...
It's your field Bull
Ah, so it was you on the 200 posts thread. I caught you, you scut.
I thought the pre match was much better. The drummers were given a bit more time than usual which was great and I much preferred the baritone to Cara (steady on now).
I'd be with Cowboy on the heart beat, I don't miss it - I'd still prefer this to bring out Munster though.

I actually quite like the stilt-walkers with the stags heads (not the other guys, for the same reasons explained above). They're oddly unsettling. I'd love to see them do some big group haka thing in the middle of the pitch as the opposition runs out - frighten the bejesus out of them before they clear off and the boys in red come out and turn out to be distinctly more scary in a match relevant way...
Céard a ceapfá, Jerry?
Paul O'Connell can get toothpaste out of an onion. Fact.
Male voice leading Stand Up, or else don't bother with it. At all. Ever. Leave it for the players in the dressing room if they feel they've earned it.
I liked the players interviews on the big screen yesterday. Donners was gas...'for Halloween I will dress up as BJ Botha cause he is probably the scariest person I know'. Also like that they are playing Rory Gallagher now when the team run out v Lennie Kravits. Oh, and for all the baseball fans, the stupid heartbeat thing was back![]()

Just noticed all that myself. Again, very happy to be it and nice to see Munster getting involved with the fans again(even if it does appear to be born out of necessity)
Not being able to see the screen at the 'North' End of the West Stand is my pet hate, can't see it at any Heineken Cup game. I remember at the Amlin semi-final a few years back they had a second small screen in the corner between the North and East terrace and I hope they'll bring it back some day but in the times that are, probably not.
