Taz-Where did you get that information as I have seen nowhere that he(Penney) was ruled out?
Editor - The writer stands by the Penney information.

Editor-- This article originally said Rob Penney had missed out on the Munster coaching job. That information was incorrect.
I think it's fair to say that Sherry's darts tend to be more accurate than Varley's - pity in a sense, because when Varley first started getting a run of senior games a couple of seasons back he seemed to be a tremendous prospect and I was a big fan. If he could sort the consistency with his lineout throwing, he could be truly excellent. Up to now I've thought that he has generally been stronger in the scrum as well, but based on the limited evidence available to date this season I think Sherry may be closing that gap. At the time of writing, neither of them is a direct replacement for Fla (gawd, I miss him), but at this stage in their careers and based on their comparative ages you'd have to think that Sherry is the brighter prospect. I wish/hope for the pair of them to be the very best they can be, because I would mean we'd have a mighty impressive pair of hookers for the next number of years.
Never mind perception because it isn’t real. It’s only what people think. Go out and make them think something else.
- Alan Quinlan on believing in yourself
Both Varley and Sherry are average hookers. Sherry has the advantage being younger and a better thrower, but he turns over a lot of ball in open play. If Sherry bulks up and manages to cut out cheap turn overs, then he is a prospect.
