Must be a positive that Keatley has had the whole week training to play out half and to get used to linking with Conor Murray, How many times have they started games together? I just did a quick check and I think the answer is ZERO which is a fairly amazing statistic when you think they have been at the same province for well over a year.

Munster have always addressed this issue. This is not a new thing. What may be new is that Penney mentioned it to the press.

I remember a similar report was prepared before and after the Northampton game, last year.

This pleases me. It's seems fairly obvious that any weaknesses in a game are fully addressed in training the week later in order to try and fix them.
We'll have to uncuff him and "de-dildo" him, obviously... Smash up the furniture like he was chasing you all rapey. Fortunately, he's Italian so that shouldn't be too hard to sell.

I hope the irish media don't get to him, he's played them really well so far.
It is useless to attempt to reason a man out of a thing he was never reasoned into.

Every plan I have is the best plan in the room. Everybody get quiet and listen to it, and everybody will win

And did we do anything about it? Because it's unfortunately become very clear that it's the squeaky wheel gets the oil on this. I don't like that it's that way, but we have to deal with it as it is, not as it should be.

They sent the report including video clips, stills etc , they met with Erc, Donal Courtney and Joel Jutge, they also sent info to scarlets, hence the press attention Nigel Davies courted for their game V saints.

And, while that's the sort of report Courtney has said at the past he'd listen to (at the same conference where he said refs were told not to give game-changer penalties in the last 10 unless beyond doubt), it was largely ignored - if not completely so. Everything we highlighted, correctly, they did in MK, and were rewarded for it.

Which is why, regrettably, we have to go down this route, the same as the Tiggers, the ABs and others in publicly whining. Because doing it right gets nothing, and doing it wrong pays. It shouldn't be that way, it's ****ty that it is, but what choice do we have?

I think they started a couple of games together at the end of last season. The semi-final and the one before that maybe (although semi-final hardly counts as they only got 15 minutes before Keats move to 15).

It's very small though definitely, it's good to see them get time playing together. It could really be good if their partnership clicks, a 9 + 10 that can both be running threats.

Currently the 10 jersey is a worry but it could easily be the 9 that causes problems.

My one hope for Sunday is that Penny gives stringer 10 - 20 minutes, I agree that its only a foul if you get caught but the last day Murray was very lucky to be on the pitch before he even made his crucial mistake, a sharper ref, or a decent linesman would have given him yellow on either of 2 occasions and if we had TOL still on the bench he would have been used, and the game could we have had a different outcome, but because it was stringer on the bench he wanted murrays physicality?

Basically if you dont have faith in your sub SH when the one on the pitch is playing badly, then its time to get another one, (which Duncan williams doesnt seem to be)

Murray is going to be playing a lot of rugby this season (stupid mistakes premitting) and it could easily happen that we need to start stringer for some big games (touchwood) if murray gets injured.

Agree with a lot of that lawrence apart from Williams not being good enough. I think he is good enough, has shown he is this season in the early rabo games and I have a feeling he will be on the bench on sunday.

I agree. Stringer was fortunate to even make the bench last w/e. He has absolutely no form.

The best punishment Penney could have given Murray was to personally shave his Bieber mane with a pair of sheep shears. And get him to wear proper footwear. Golden boots? Usain Bolt, yes! Connor Murray? You're having a laugh.

He needs to understand that he is nothing more than a cog in the system. ROG and POC have earned their spurs. He needs to do the same.

Brian Haugh is our future 9, btw.

Travelling a little more in hope than expectation I suppose, I expect that we will win but I am not sure we will qualify from the group. If we get out we will be in with a good shout come Spring as I really do believe that Penney will get us right, if too late for this season so be it but certainly for next season.

This nonsense grinds my gears, I cant say factually but I would be confident in saying there is no correlation between the colour of a players boots and the players performance. And also the boots are yellow.

Shave his head? **** off! Munster rugby is not the Army. Murray knows he ****ed up, grow up a bit.

Williams should be on the bench next week, he hasnt played much recently so I think thats why he played for the As last week.

So Murray made a mistake a fairly big glaring mistake but would not like to play for or support a team that inflicts humiliation on mistakes made by players. He is a cog for sure and a very vital cog at that but he is also a human being.

I for one will be in TP cheering him on and don't give a hoot what colour his boots are!!
Anything seems possible now; economic stability, world peace, Conor O’Shea completing a sentence without being interrupted, even the permanent cessation of The X Factor feels within reach.

youre dead right. Nobody should be a bigger star than the shining collective that munster are. we won 2 HEC's by working as a machine with in excess of 22 working parts pitchside. The Yellow Boots to most mean nothing but to some may display an inner arrogance as opposed to confidence. if thats the case then munster could do without that

Munster coach Rob Penney will use the extra day before deciding on the line-up for Sunday’s must-win Heineken Cup game against Edinburgh at Thomond Park.
    [snip]
JJ Hanrahan, Ireland out-half in the Junior World Cup last summer, is registered but is yet to start a Rabo Direct game. Penney raised a few eyebrows when commenting "he is one of the options and we’ve got a nine who can also play at 10".
    [snip]

This doesn't seem to have attracted much attention here, I'll take it he doesn't mean Stringer.
