One thing confusing me about that Leinster lad, are Coco Pops supposed to be a country thing or something?

He was as lame as a duck. Not the metaphorical lame duck either, but a real duck that was actually lame. Maybe from stepping on a land mine or something.

Well, me, for starters. Like soggy rice crispie cakes. Yuk.

Or soggy rice crispie buns. That would be an ecumenical matter...

Courting controversy is just an addiction for you, isn't it?
Never mind perception because it isn’t real. It’s only what people think. Go out and make them think something else.

You surely mean rice crispie squares? It's all lies.. they aren't even square. Not unlike Tuesday's training with ROG starting at 10.

If that is the backline picked, you'd have to suspect that Deccie had a lot of influence on selection. Casey v Downey - nobody even considered that Casey would be more than a distant back-up to Downey in the 12 role. Downey is light years ahead based on what we've seen so far. Of course that wouldn't suit Kidney who doesn't rate Downey apparently and would rather not have the can of worms of D'Arcy always starting despite form being opened by an Irish IQ 12 playing well in the interpros & HEC.

RO'G over Keatley is easier. Deccie has already pencilled into his 22 RO'G for his A.I & 6n's. Keatley, Jackson or Madigan could do a very passable imitation of Dan Carter in the next few weeks/months and it won't make a blind bit of difference. Deccie will want RO'G playing in the big games to take the heat off his selection.

The question is will Penney let himself be influenced.

surely if deccie has any influence then downey will start - Ireland needs a 12. If casey starts at 12 then deccie has no influence

Penney gives Ospreys selection chance of redemption.

    By The Editor

Rob Penney has opted for the tried and trusted half back partnership of O'Gara and Peter Stringer to contol the game in the fervid atmosphere of a Leinster Munster derby in the Aviva. He is giving a chance to some of the team who were very flat in the game against the Ospreys to prove it was only a blip.

Sean Dougal comes back into the squad and will get a chance to stake a claim for a starting slot in the back row next week against Racing Metro in Paris. While Paul O'Connell took a full part in training this week it was felt it was too earlyfor him to make the squad.

RaboDirect PRO12 on Saturday in the Aviva Stadium, ko 8.30pm.
    Broadcaster: TG4
    Munster: D Hurley; D Howlett Capt., K Earls, C Laulala, S Zebo, R O’Gara, P Stringer; D Kilcoyne, D Varley, S Archer, D Foley, B Holland, T O’Donnell, N Ronan, P Butler. Replacements: M Sherry, M Horan, BJ Botha, D Ryan, P O’Mahony, C Murray, I Keatley, J Downey.

I feel deflated by that selection. Once again experience trumps ability and form in an Irish rugby selection. End of honeymoon period with that selection in my opinion. He had rewarded form up to now, this is a major change of tack. Both Stringer & O'Gara were very poor versus the Ospreys. Can't understand this selection.

    Leinsters to lose!

Not sure that Deccie is looking outside D'Arcy and Paddy Wallace. Ironically he has already ruled Downey out on age grounds.

Not snide enough to be Pat G.

You should have put in something like 'the current European Champions were shown up to be fairground showponies by the also-rans in Connacht and Penney admits taking the game seriously after that display would be a challenge for all 40,000 or so people in the Aviva'
It is useless to attempt to reason a man out of a thing he was never reasoned into.

Every plan I have is the best plan in the room. Everybody get quiet and listen to it, and everybody will win

Plus he says Dougall is back in the squad, but he's not listed in the squad.

    And he spelled Dougall incorrectly.

We'll have to uncuff him and "de-dildo" him, obviously... Smash up the furniture like he was chasing you all rapey. Fortunately, he's Italian so that shouldn't be too hard to sell.
