Joost Van der Westhuizen and Motor Neuron Disease.

Going downhill quickly with Motor Neuron Disease, superb player he is fighting hard.

Interview from 26th July below,40 tablets a day then.SA folk commenting online tonight that he was interviewe over the last few days, apparently not looking good/well at all.

He has fought this and inspires a lot of people and other MND sufferers.

He knows he was not an angel, but listening to that interview puts his life in context.

Incredible interview,I know its over 30 minutes long but worth listening to..

Taz-Where did you get that information as I have seen nowhere that he(Penney) was ruled out?
Editor - The writer stands by the Penney information.

    - This article originally said Rob Penney had missed out on the Munster coaching job. That information was incorrect.

Ya, He was some player. Tough as a bag of bolts and a great leader. He was great to watch and imho changed the play of scrumhalf play.
Sad to see him having to deal with it but thats life.
When their numbers dwindled from 50 to 8, the other dwarves began to suspect Hungry

Poor fella. Super player. I wish him all the best. Don't give up the fight Joost
I don\'t really understand the criticism of their so called ugly rugby.I love open running rugby but I also admire the collective mastery of this Munster team. They really are a reference in the game,to beat them you really have to play a perfect match
