Dougall has seriously put his hand up for consideration as a Heineken cup squad player so far. He was outstanding at the weekend. Niall Ronan will have some job shifting him from the squad if he keeps this up

I thought Dougall was like a limpet the other night, now, the auld ref was a bit of a lassez faire type when it came to the gate, offside at the breakdown etc. But it's always great to see a backrower on his feet, on their side of the ruck with his arse to their tryline. Dougall does that, a lot.
No direct comparisons, but Richie McCaw loves to do that as well.
I am the million man.
Excellent post - team will hopefully picked on performance not hype.
David O'Callaghan is nowhere near as good as Coughlan and I thought Dougall and Butler were excellent Saturday.
Great to see competition in back row - might allow Ryan to concentrate on 2nd row.
But its early days and several others will get the chance yet
Season 2013/14 we will be the hunters not the hunted once more. Brilliant. I can't wait.

Dougie Re Coughlan:
"Our team is broken up into groups of leaders, so obviously Paul will be a big part of that when he’s back in the squad, James Coughlan’s playing that role for us at the moment, but as a winger I see myself looking at the game as a big picture." That is a good indication of Cawlins standing in the squad and well deserved it is.
Never mind perception because it isn’t real. It’s only what people think. Go out and make them think something else. Alan Quinlan Irish Times April 24th 2013
Great article on CJ Stander. It may have already been posted.

If you have to ask, you aren't watching enough rugby![]()
yup.. Dougall has impressed me, and that's from someone who was
skeptical of him before he came. He's clearly putting his hand up.
Your mention of ronan .. I mean.. why should he even be in the picture?
Even prior to the arrival the legendary and handsome CJ Stander,
he doesn't have a hope of getting into a munster back row any time
soon. To me, paddy butler arrived last weekend.
This weekend, I'll be watching Dave OCallaghan in the same vein.
If Penney's apparent selectioneering goes well, we could finish off this
season with some fairly scary backrow possibilities moving forward.
