Confirmed that Shannon did not object to a walkover being given to YM as result of game cancellation last Friday night. YM Bohs in Annacotty this saturday in Semi Final of the Senior Cup

  4. #153
UL Bohs vs YM Saturday , 2.30, Annacotty
Cork Con vs Cashel, 2.30, Temple Hill

Think will be YM Cons Final, Bohs be depleted of there Munster players with Senior and A games, YM by 7+
Cons are in same boat as Bohs but feel they'll have too much for Cashel, Con by 5

I know HC is on but with a day like today we could be in for a treat in Annacotty. From what i hear there are a slight few changes to YM with some guys being given a shot after impreessing in training and 2nds games, Bohs will have a strong back line, will be interesting. I'll be heading down myself and will sky+ the leinster match

Decent Crowd turned out for a good game of Rugby. UL Bohs won 13-11 with there 2nd row converting Academy Fullback Darren Moroney's try late on. Both sides showed considerable changes. Both tried to attack as much as possible. The ref spoiled it a bit i felt (and this is not the typical ref screwed us comment) in the 1st half he gave EVERYTHING to YM and in the 2nd EVERYTHING to Bohs. Felt YM should've been further ahead in 1st half after creating a lot of good chances. Dom Lespierre on the wing made a break from half way and got chased down by Moroney but after a phase YM Scored in the corner through Mike Madden (2nd Row).

Bohs came out in 2nd half and tore into YM aided by silly penalties given away at the breakdown. Their 2nd Row (don't know his name sorry) kicked Bohs back into contention and than after a break by the BOhs left wing and few phases later moroney stretched over in the corner to score which (from the touchline) their 2nd rower coonverted for the win.

Left with a severe feeling of disappointment and a feeling of the one that got away so to speak

    Senior plate semis
Nenagh beat Midleton 20-9. Nenagh prob could have won by more
    Dolphin beat Bruff 26-3

Anybody know when and where the final will be played?

Dara Frawley is the second row kicker with bohs, kicking with them for a while. Played underage with richmond kicked for us too.

Yeah the game was very stop start, wasn't being allowed to flow really. That's as much down to the players as the ref in my opinion. For me the best player was the full back, Moroney, he looked really good in attack and solid in defence. Munsters went down to 14 men in the second half when Luke Russell went to the bin for persistent infringement, and I believe thats when Boh's scored. The winning conversion from the touchline was a sublime effort from the second row. In fairness he had hit the post with two previous penalty attempts. In my opinion Boh's narrowly deserved the victory (and I'm neither a boh's nor a cookies man). Munsters attack seemed to be get the ball as wide as possible as quick as possible, and Boh's just didn't commit to rucks and defended really well. There seemed to be no plan b for Munsters..... jaysus, that sounds familiar...
Anyways, best of luck to Boh's in the final, in all fairness they would have been long odds against them overturning the Cookies even in their own back yard, and hopefully they can go on and do the business in the final.

Thought it was a Poor game myself. It never really got going. Lots of stoppages and a fussy ref. Bohs were worth their win in the end

Huge Weekend on the senior scene with YM travelling to Cork to play Cons, Bohs travelling to Dublin hoping to match G'owens result against Clontarf, G'owen host Belvo and Shannon host Dolphin

Other fixture sees Marys host Lansdowne which is being streamed live on IrishRugbyTV on Friday night. Be worth a watch!

    My predictions are:
    Cons to beat YM (Unfortunately)
Tarf to get their 1st win
Garryowen to get BP against Belvo
Dolphin to beat shannon but Shannon get a LBP
Lansdowne to show signs of potential Champs with big win

Massive weekend all right, but in particular for Shannon. If they get nothing out of this weekend, and results go against them elsewhere they will be in serious trouble.

30mins gone, Lansdowne 12 nil up. Two tries, one cracker from Craig Ronaldson which he converted, 2nd from Cian Aherne. Lansdowne looking really good, doing very well defensively

  26. #170
    HT 12 nil Lansdowne

  27. #171
Lansdowne Fullback binned, game getting scrapy and loose. May suit Lansdowne more.

    12-3

  28. #172
Mary's butchered a 2 on 1 to score, fullback Conor Hogan ran across field and tackled into touch...........SHOCKING

  29. #173
BP for Lansdowne, Cian Aherne Hat-Trick win them the game. Mary's are poor! Goal kicking was awful before Gavin Dunne came on

  30. #174
29-9, Lansdowne got Bp with 5 tries. Mary's were very poor!

    All matches at 2.30

    HT: Old Crescent 7, UCC 25 (4T).
    Vorsprung durch Pfennig.

24-47, convert to come, eleven tries, (ref just disallowed a perfectly good prior eleventh). Cracking game to watch in a gloriously sunny Rosbrien.
    Vorsprung durch Pfennig.

31-49. Twelve tries, in a game where both teams hammered into the tackle. Cracking, cracking game. As good as I've seen at any level this year.
    Vorsprung durch Pfennig.
