u21 south western conference league 12-13

Fixtures released. Different structure to last year. There was 2 sections last year, both were meant to have 8/9 teams each but while section A had 8 teams section B only had 5 teams by the time the league started up due to clubs unable to field.

This season there is 2 divisions one with 14 clubs and the other which is an u20 league(according to the deadsite and i presume is a mistake) with 6 clubs.

    u21 south western conference
    Cork Con
    Old Crescent
    UL Bohs
    Buccaneers
    Highfield
    Galwegians
    Corinthians-NUIG
    Garryowen
    Dolphin
    Shannon
    UCC
    Midleton
    Thomond
    Young Munster

    u20 Munster League
    Sundays Well
    Bruff
    Waterpark
    Dunmanway-Bantry Bay
    Nenagh Ormond
    Crosshaven

OL the U20 league is not a mistake. As far as I am aware certain clubs wanted to participate at U20 and to facilitate this an U20 league is being run as well. The U21s will go on to the All Ireland competition. There was talk that the "University" teams were going to enter both competitions.

Crazy if true as take us whove entered this league. Our team will basically be our 19s with 7 or 8 or so 20s(some of whom wont be available as theyll be involved with our senior squad) while if it was a 21s we wouldnt need half as many 19s.
Most clubs need both years to field at 21s(which is 92s and 93s for this season coming) and still need plenty of 19s(94s in the case of this season) to field

Often think that these leagues (U21S) along with the Senior 2nds are a bit of a lottery. It depends on how many players you lose at 21s, injuries to Senior teams, Munster call ups etc. So a team that have been outstanding on one week may not be able to field for another few weeks. Also with Friday night games, the Saturday fixtures may have different amounts of players available week to week. That's life I suppose.

Expecting YM to win well, have a very strong squad, lacking in 2nds rows a bit but front row, backrow, half backs, centres have all played senior rugby this year. Is the strongest u21s team the club has ever had i'd say
