How Tokula was mentioned in this thread is beyond me....

Taz-Where did you get that information as I have seen nowhere that he(Penney) was ruled out?
Editor - The writer stands by the Penney information.

Editor-- This article originally said Rob Penney had missed out on the Munster coaching job. That information was incorrect.
Been watching him play in Super Rugby and the Currie Cup for a while now, he is definitely the real deal.
CJ outstanding when brought on today, let's hope he brings that form with him...
CJ will be staying with the Bulls for the Sharks game but hopes to travel to Ireland the following week.
\"God gave me the talent but the forwards gave me the ball\" - Jannie De Beer
\"I hesitate to use words like spiritual or religious, but to see what rugby means to Munster people is very moving\" Shaun Payne
I look back on 2008 at the Millennium Stadium as the highlight of my career because, although being capped by New Zealand and playing for the All Blacks was fantastic, this was special. - Doug Howlett
The sooner the better.

He's fecking well needed, him with Cawlin and O'Mahony could be the makings of a very decent unit

I just hope he doesn't automatically replace the likes of Dougall without being given a very good chance to prove he can do it in different circumstances to his native comfort zone! The lads we have at the moment are playing well enough and will grow in confidence and experience. That said, I also hope he comes in and bulldozes everything in his path and declares for Ireland (you can always hope! And they do a decent Boerwurst in the Woolshed in Cork if he's homesick)
Céard a ceapfá, Jerry?
Paul O'Connell can get toothpaste out of an onion. Fact.
CJ should check his wardrobe

He'll arrive soon but I don't expect to see him on the pitch for maybe 4-5 weeks after his arrival. Time to acclimatise and relax after the full season he's just put in.
Still though, even if Coughlan is still out for HC rounds 3&4(I expect the plan is to have CJ ready for that)I really like the look of 6. POM, 7. Dougall and 8. CJ Stander

POM needs to learn a lot about control at the back of the scrum. Cawlin is a better 8

Again not sure back row is an issue. Ryan is the worry as his form has dropped drastically from the player who was firing on all cylinders last season. POM has picked up, Dougall is continuing to be good, Butler and DOC2 have both stepped up this season, Ronan is still around as is TOD. Stander will need to be something outstanding to walk straight past the first first 4 names I've just listed.

His Latin name is Pedro. Pedro Pio.
Never mind perception because it isn’t real. It’s only what people think. Go out and make them think something else.

Ah fup off, you. I mean Latin as in "Latin America".![]()

to be honest I think it's time to start asking can any of our back rows play IC - e.g. Ronan's brief stint there with Leinster cos right now we have a need for a big carrier at IC with some handling skills to take the load off Downey and we know for sure it's not Laulala (and I'm only half joking about it)

I'd be expecting something similar as well. I think its rather delusional from some posters to be thinking that a guy who will have finished a full season, in a different hemisphere is expected to waltz into a team and be their knight in shining armour. He will have to get used to a whole new life on top of new systems and calls so I would not be expecting anything huge from him right away.
It is useless to attempt to reason a man out of a thing he was never reasoned into.
Every plan I have is the best plan in the room. Everybody get quiet and listen to it, and everybody will win
Thats because he is a damn good player who has been going extremely well at super and currie cup, he can tackle, carry, run and bounce players, can be a groundhog if needed or an excellent 8, has been baby boks captain, he will be a massive addition. Again though, most a realistic enough to know he will need settling time.
