Welcome to our new player CJ Stander

Great try from CJ. He is playing at eight.

    He certainly doesn't shirk contact!

He's a significant physical presence, and is in the thick of everything.

The TMO just called a try back for a forward pass. Nice example of this trial which will hopefully come in permanently and world wide.

This guy looks the real deal. POM, CJ & DOC2 in the backrow? Sounds damn good to me

Looks like he's been brought in to play 8, so. We should all be cheering against the Blue Bulls so he gets here sooner!

Sounds like a tough-as-rocks, bull-headed Afrikaaner - just what we need in the back row.

Indeed. We need to breed Wally with Katie Taylor and call their all their male children Sue. That should do the trick.

Still, in my opinion, Claw's masterpiece. Not just for a magnificent display of scrummaging, but for the clip to Garrick Morgan around the back of Gaillimh, leading to an almighty brawl when Morgan smacked Gaillimh, both Morgan and Gaillimh getting walked and the pair of them walking off quite amicably clearly discovering they'd both been stitched up by Claw. In terms of low, evil cunning, it would have got straight 10s from a judging panel of weasels.

I would have Cawlin ahead of any of that trio, personally.

Then again, I'd rather see BOM or dougall getting an extended run if
it meant they would eventually develop before 2015, when cj is
    back playin in pretoria

It could be C J O'Stander playing in an Irish shirt in 2015 though.

Taz-Where did you get that information as I have seen nowhere that he(Penney) was ruled out?
Editor - The writer stands by the Penney information.

Our lad playing blindside against the Sharks RIGHT NOW in the Currie Cup. Sharks were heavy favourites but with 18 mins left the Bulle are 28-24 up

Awww christ, he just set up the winner with a fantastic angle, rode the tackle and released the scorer under the posts.

The line he took was world class.

    He did it again!!!!

Lost in tackle by the sharks on the bulls 22, bounces into CJ's hands, he takes off upfield, makes 6 or 8 yards, draws 2 defenders and offloads to the speedsters, three passes later its trytime again.

He's the best forward on the field for the 30 mins I've seen. Commentators all describing him as brilliant or superb.
