Good that the expectations seem higher this year. might not be a bad thing to have been so rusty for connacht..plenty to work on.parks to come in.im optimistic.
If the lessons of history teach us anything it is that nobody learns the lessons that history teaches us.

Where as Munster at least seem to be trying to play according to a style which may take a few months. We have no distinct pattern of play in my view.

Worrying times ahead. We've a decent squad there now and the ould platitudes really dont wash anymore.
Did Faloon get on/how did he play?

Did ok. Still no Johnny Concrete though, everyone was bemused when he was taken off, responsible for about 4 turnovers at ruck time and had some great carries

It's a worry alright, again no distinct sign of any gameplan. In fairness it was a terrible night to be a back, but still, our maul was excellent last season and it was perfect for last night but we didn't use it half enough. Nikora stood 10 yards behind the gainline every time.

If we don't pick up 4 points v Zebre, the knives will be out. At least we should have Parks, White, Wilkinson, Poolman, Harris Wright, McSharry and Tonetti available

Nobody watching Zebre v Connacht? Lovely grubber kick through for O'Halloran to run onto and score a great try - bounce was just right for him but his pace was nice to see. Half an hour gone, not a classic but not too bad either. Good to see Dave Ryan on the field too.

PS - plenty of Italian totty in the crowd ....

Zebre lucky not to have a second man in the bin there for a similar offence in the lineout. Nikora kicking well tonight, 7-16.

lads if expectations are higher they'll need to improve the defence bigtime - I've never seen such wojus defending as for that Italian try. And all basic stuff...

  18. #78
Try George Na'oupu, off the scrum with three lads hanging off him. That started with JOC winning the penalty on the ground down near halfway. 7-23 scoreline does flatter Connacht a little though, as there have been enough errors and some fairly lateral attacking play straight out of the Dumper playbook.

Dave Ah You takes the field, Connacht desperately defending on their own 5m and are pinged for hands in the ruck .... Massive Zebre scrum and their 8 is over for a try. 14-23.

Nathan White & Zebre 18 both binned for handbags. 77 min on clock, 9 point difference, penalty Zebre, lining up posts.

Jaysus, massive breakout by Zebre but a knock on for the last pass throws Connacht a lifeline of a 5m scrum.

TG4 clock showing 81.57 as this scrum sets - clearly hasn't stopped in time with ref's watch. Early engage by Zebre. So how much time does your broadcast indicate is left? Mine's on 83.36!
