We have already won in the Liberty this season, 13-16. With about 10 players absent as well.

    Ulster:
    (15 - 8) J Payne; C Gilroy, D Cave, L Marshall, M Allen; N O'Connor, M Heaney
    (1 - 8) C Black, R Herring, D Fitzpatrick, J Muller (c), L Stevenson, M McComish, S Doyle, N Williams
    Replacements: N Brady, T Court, J Afoa, N McComb, S Ferris, P Marshall, P Jackson, A Trimble

Only Cave, Payne, Muller are nailed on starters in that team, vs an Ospreys team that had only 4 players different to the one that played you (Dan Bigger (who played 40mins vs Ulster, the Samoan SH, Ian Evans and Ryan Jones.

Ulster already beat the Ospreys in the Liberty Stadium this season [source: http://www.ulsterrugby.com/rugby/10743.php ].

Munster will be winning again before too long. We lost 3 away games to the H Cup champions, the H Cup runners up (could have won that one) and the league champions.
POM and Murray shouldn't be within an arses roar of the Irish squad, given their form this season. Anyway I'm happy with Ulster having big Paddy McAllister, Iain Henderson and Luke Marshall and you can keep Kilcoyne, Butler and Hanrahan.

    We're all happy that way.

And I think Hanrahan showed with the under 20's how much more he brings to a team - even while playing out of position.

From time to time, I may rent a comely wench, or three, for recreational purposes. But what of it? It's a man's world.

Hope Niall Annett gets a reasonable amount of playing time, haven't seen much of him since the JRWC where he looked very good. Think he might have played for Ulster once or twice since then, anyone remember him having a run out?

I think you might be confusing his form between the 6Ns & the JRWC. He was decent enough in the 6Ns, but he was very poor in the JRWC. His throwing went to pot, and as he was captain, he couldn't be dropped. It might have blown his confidence a bit. TBH, I was a bit surprised that Ruddock went for a hooker again as captain after what happened with Annett.

Also gilroy is probably the best winger in the country at the moment.

Fez seemed to land awkwardly and went down grimacing and clutching his leg - however he was back up within a minute or two running about again. Shortly after that he got hurt for a second time and had to go off. Stupid player management really - he's the sort that will always want to play on, and in a game that Ulster were dominating anyway it was no longer necessary to keep him on the pitch, especially considering that Nick Williams came on as a perfectly effective sub, and one who is not essential to an already-depleted Irish squad.

Jared Payne does though. Gilroy's is a mile behind for international honours now. Dave Kearney and Zebo are a mile ahead because they start more regularly

I am not specifically referring to this instance but it is annoying when we are told x and y are International standard when they are not even starting for their province - particularly in the big games, or indeed a club go all out to get someone else for that players position - Thorn over Toner last season for instance. I have heard it about Munster players too.

He had 9 Heineken Cup starts last season (and a huge amount of total gametime) and that didn't get him anywhere. He's 21 and he has 12 HC appearances. Zebo had never played HC until Howlett got injured and he had zero at the same age as Gilroy.

Payne has nothing to do with any reduced opportunities he might be getting, it's 100% the return of Bowe. Losing your place to Bowe would be no disgrace. He showed yesterday that he's not going away. I think there's a good chance he could end up with a HC start this season even with Bowe and Trimble fit.

The sooner he gets a chance the better for Ireland.
