    Leinster 2012/2013

I can't wait to see what beast they draft in this Christmas. Half expecting a bakkies level enforcer to sign up this year, it's the missing piece from their side, and they won't sit on their hands.
    I am the million man.

Very much agreed, however they should not be allowed a special dispensation player. They will no doubt get one though with their cozy relationship with the Irfu. Serious lack of grunt in their pack, especially in the 2nd row. No Hines,no SOB or no Thorn for that matter=no Heineken cup. Triple T or Colin Farrell will probably end up on the long term treatment table by Xmas.

AFIK we still have one NIQ place available. So strictly speaking- we ARE entitled to sign a player! But I wouldn't just accept that we will necessarily go out and buy a second row. We have options there when injuries clear. Still think Roux will come good in the enforcer role. And Toner is both a sure fire line out option and a good scrummager- size goes against him in open play a bit. Browne is solid and worth his corn in the side. Leo his usual reliable all-rounder, with Denton and Flanagan his identified back ups- once the injury curse clears. Six weeks to the Clermont game. A lot will happen before that momentous fortnight.

Too Tall Toner useless in the loose and Cullen on his way out. You do need a second row,and a ball carrying option at that. "once the injuries clear", I remember saying that myself the last few seasons.I hope for your sake they do because Leinster look very much like a team on the way down at the moment.

Well- maybe we could delicately say that there may be a bit of wishful thinking..... on both our parts in that exchange- huh!

No, obviously not. The Irish team is not Munster 2008.

23rd November now. Fairly remarkable recovery from hip surgery. I suppose to play against Clermont- Zebre wouldnt be much of a test.

Pics of Fitzgerald doing some pitch work as well which is nice after the horrific run of injuries he's had.

Watterson today in the IT writing of O'Brien being "a Christmas returnee." Definetly hope that's an error, with Clermont home and away looming.

Hearing that ERC have been given clips from exeter and scarlets, complaint being that refs are being very lenient with leinster. Things such as ,lying across the breakdown on oppo side when in own 22, lazy runners being left off with blatant obstructions in own half, doing a northampton at scrum time. Expect Scarlets to whinge like mad ahead of the next meeting.

Jasus- they can talk! Truth is Leinster - like any team that competes well at the breakdown, are not saints. But the idea of Scarlets - or any Welsh team really complaining of that stuff is laughable.

THe arrogance of European champions - playing close to the edge like that. We'd never do it!

Next the IRB and ERC will be doing video clips of them doing the same.

Not at all, sure the 8th is when the culchies hit the big schmoke! SOB is a proper culchie from Tullow so he'll have a full day to spare before the Clermont game.

I did suggest a while back that maybe the reason Madigan was playing full back is because they were expecting RK to be out for a longer stretch than originally suggested.

Based on injuries to Duffy +Kearney and Ulster playing Payne,G Murphy injured at Leicester(even though retired),Ireland will be looking at Hurley or Earls for FB for the AI's.

And Felix. Think earls will wind up playing FB though as his injury has prevented his showing his readiness to play 13.
