    Second half highlights up: http://www.leinsterrugby.ie/mdtv/?play=media&id=12803

Game notable for two moments of brilliance from BOD and Sexton. The rest was fairly awful. Would have taken a 1 point win out there with 7 lads playing their first game any day.

Strong panel to be scraping a one-point last-gasper, though, Cemec. Especially where you had a lead and were reeled in.

I wouldn't say reeled in. Leinster were behind until the second half and were never more than a score ahead. The team were completely rusty, serious lack of cohesion. I was expecting Treviso to win, to be honest. They targeted this game and made 14 changes for it. Basic errors such as McFadden trying to tap and go a penalty on half way and dropping the ball were prevalent throughout. It was very sloppy defence that allowed the two tries. I'm happy with the manner of victory. No complacency and several lads there aren't assured their jersey. McFadden will face a test from Conway to ensure he gets the 14 jersey for one.

Any sort of win in Treviso these days is good. 2 years ago, Leinster lost 29-13 with 10 of their strongest side out there. They'd have lost again yesterday if it wasn't for a rub of the green and some ridiculous defending from Sexton where he scrambled back to the line break, flipped a guy and pinned him on his back.

Pleased to see BOD looking sharp and Sexton stepping up to the plate with the drop goal.

TG4 webstreaming problems aside, Sexton seemed to have a great game, to be fair. His drop goal was a bit of a statement.

That try was like the BOD of old. Great line, great pace, nice step at full tilt too. A man on a mission in his last season methinks.

Hope so. I am no fan of the Lions but I would not begrudge BOD his swansong playing on a fourth lions tour, it obviously means a lot to him. Plus he will have had to have had some six nations to make it onto the plane.

BOD's not the only old codger who fancies another Lions tour!

NotreDame - would you mind if I borrowed your Spence avatar? I don't post here much, post a bit on leinsterfans which is where I'd be using it.

Healy looking as beastly as ever in the first few minutes of this game. And young Cooney looks very sharp.

Leinster look like they're really missing O'Brien's dynamism with ball in hand (as any team would, in fairness) and they look a bit shallow at lock. They seem a bit off the pace in this game so far.

Cian Healy has been great from what I've seen so far.

Heaslip is also playing very well. Generally, Leinster are making more errors than usual, and the set pieces are a bit of a mess (on which note, the scrum is a disaster area and the ref hasn't issued a single penalty; what does he think is going to happen?)

Beautiful linking from Macken and Carr there.

Decent passage from Leinster there. Edinburgh now have two forwards in the bin.

The pack besides Healy are looking strangely underpowered.

Criminal stuff from Leinster there 5 yards out with two Edinburgh forwards in the bin. Ball turned over and Edinburgh clear with a drop out.

And Healy's off for van der Merwe now. Heaslip deserves credit here, but Cronin needs to do more. Outside of those two, it's difficult to see where powerful carries are going to come from in the pack.

Good work from BOD in midfield finally makes the numbers count. Good work from Carr puts Macken in the corner. Sexton misses the conversion (which was at a tight angle). Leinster 15- Edinburgh 6

Suicidal play from Embra there. You're down to thirteen men against fifteen, you don't kick the ball away (twice!) when it's gifted to you. Just sap the clock, one-out carries, nothing fancy.

Now, I've only seen the second half but I've noticed Heaslip getting gummed up when he's on the charge, especially off that double sin bin period. I'd agree totally with your sentiment - any injury to Healy or Heaslip and Leinster will seriously struggle to generate any kind of go forward against top teams.

Macken has really impressed so far this season. Bod and carr did well to set up that try but it was the one bright spot in a very poor overall performance. Too many knock ons and not nabbing a try with the 5m scrums.
Healy had a v good game, now that sob is out, probably our most dynamic forward.

2 forward passes for the 2 tries in the build up. Nice for the officials to give the ladies a freebie
