Was quite funny. He was on the Austerity phone looking at the size of it. It's right up there with the Musgrave Park PA system, felt really sorry for the MRSC Choir, it was like they were signing from a time warp in the 1920's and anytime yer wan Jean Wallace hit a high note the whole fecking thing started feedback that Jimi Hendriks would've been proud of!

I'm fairly sure this isn't the first time a mobile was used by a ref to communicate with the TMO, I know I've seen it beofre possibly in MP as well.

Even more impressive is the way he has managed to find a different pronunciation for Wian du Preez's name every time he has played at Thomond.

He has gone from Veean du Price to Von the Pricks, and every possible variation in between

Why did he not go for the "Ask the Audience" option instead of "phone a friend"?
...and Mr. Crow comes on for Mr. Magpie.

The guy in Thomond and the guy in Musgrave are one and the same. Apparently there's no one in Cork who can talk proper enough.

Its an iPhone with a flip open leather cover. You can tell from the camera lens in the top corner. Fairly decent phone in fairness. He must carry this in his pocket as a back-up to the comms equipment in the ground, which seem to give plenty of trouble (all grounds).

He tweeted that the phone was the 4th officials phone and was used as the comms weren't working.
