    MRSC Renewals 2012/13

    http://www.mrsc.ie/News_Detail.aspx?rowid=63162
    8 Mar 2012

It is planned that the Munster Rugby Supporters Club will open up the membership renewal process for next season at the end of March/early April and will remain open until the end of April.

The renewal period will also be open for new Munster Rugby Supporters Club Associate Membership applications.

Similar to last year's renewal process, new and existing members, purchasing tickets with their membership, will be provided with two payment options for the combined payment of membership and season tickets. These include a one off payment or combined payment for membership and season tickets divided over three equal payments. These three equal payments will be deducted at renewal/joining time, in July and in August. As per last season, the level of discount is dependant upon the payment method.

Since 2010 season, members were allowed to repurchase the seats/tickets that they held from the previous season. Some members requested the option to keep Magners League and move Heineken Cup.

Details of exact dates and procedures for renewals will be announced in the coming weeks but our target programme is as follows:

23 March to 29 March - Members can renew their membership with the exact same tickets as last 2011/12

23 March to 29 March _ Members who wish to keep some but not all of their tickets can reserve the tickets that they wish to keep

30 March to 4 April - Those members who reserved tickets can renew their membership, purchase the reserved tickets and any other tickets they may want.

4th April - All reserved tickets remaining unpurchased will be released for general sale.

30 March @ 12.00 noon to Tuesday 1st May at 12 noon- Renewals open for all members

    30 March @ 4.00 p.m. to Tuesday 1st May at 12 noon New membership opem - 30 March @4 to Tuesday 1st May at 12

Membership Renewals 2012/12 - Initial Information
    8 Mar 2012

As advised in other News Item, we hope that Membership renewals will commence towards the end of this month.

    Numbers of Full Members

Following a significant increase in Full Membership last year, we expect to be in a position to increase full membership again this year, thus ensuring the continued growth of the Supporters Club and the valued contribution it makes to Munster Rugby.

The exact number cannot be determined until ticket arrangements with all other Munster partners are finalised towards the end of this month. However, we do hope that Full Membership will increase to, or even beyond, 6,000 members.

    Membership Fee

    We are delighted to inform all full members that the membership fee for next season will be reduced by €15. Membership fees for 2012/13 are as follows;
    Full Membership - €65
    Associate Membership - €30

    Discounts at Renewals

Members can avail of a 15% or 20% discount on their Heineken Cup and RaboPro12 Season Tickets at time of renewal - 20% available if paid immediately; 15% if equal dtage payments (renewal; 3rd July and 3rd August).

Members who referred a friend at renewals last season can avail of the discount that they earned last renewals. The Refer-A-Friend option will continue this Renewal Period.

The Ticket Trader facility has not been in use this season yet so there are no Ticket Account balances from traded season tickets to be discounted against the Renewal cost this year.

The discount for those members purchasing combined season tickets has been scrapped this season.

    Season Ticket Pricing

    Season ticket prices for 2012/13 season are now confirmed and remain as last season. Members can click the Download Further Information tab below to view the following details;

The drop in price for full membership is very, very welcome. the 80 bucks had me seriously considering renewal last year.
Good to see a price drop there. GWAN the MRSC, well done.
We'll have to uncuff him and "de-dildo" him, obviously... Smash up the furniture like he was chasing you all rapey. Fortunately, he's Italian so that shouldn't be too hard to sell.

Most welcome reduction MRSC. Thanks. Also commendably wise pricing strategy as it is more likely to attract and retain than scare off. 50 Squid next year? ;-)

    Good news overall,

No discount for Combined season ticket purchase though.

Over 6k members, getting near the promised 10k, how does that affect QF/SF ticket allocations? Will every FM be still guaranteed a ticket as per this year and previous? Did the MRSC get 6k+ tickets this year for the forthcoming Ulster match?

ps what's this years gift? will we get them before the first match next season?

Id say its got to do with this:
"The Ticket Trader facility has not been in use this season yet so there are no Ticket Account balances from traded season tickets to be discounted against the Renewal cost this year."

I sold a Leinster ticket on the exchange last year, but was told it was too late to be included/taken off for this season so should be for 2012/13

Looks like 'early bird' discounts (& ticket prices) stay the same, only reduction is the Membership fee as flagged above

estimate FM with combined Season ticket for terraces should cost 313e + Transaction fee (3.50?)

From MRSC.ie but seems to be out of date. There ceratinly was something explaining this all somewhere before.

    http://www.mrsc.ie/FAQs.aspx#help10396

There are 2,000 full members are their numbers go from 1 to 3,217.

Members may not have renewed membership and junior members are also allocated numbers in the same numeric sequence.

In 2007/8 there are over 7,000 associate members. New associate members in 2008/9 will commence at number 15,907

I was offered it from this season and I'm in the early-mid 17'000s.

From what I remember there were people in or around the 20'000 mark who were also offered it.

No reduction in the price of the tickets is poor given the economic climate, €15 reduction in membership is welcome but doesn't really go far enough, they could and should have reduced ticket prices. Extending the full membership is about 4 years too late, tickets are becoming easier to find and the same difficulty around getting tickets doesn't exist anymore, its a case of lets increase the full membership now since the clubs are finding it a bit harder to offload their tickets. Questionable value for money for the full member combined ticket in the current climate, will be interesting to see if a larger full membership can be accomodated at quarter final time in years to come.

€16 for Rabo and €24 for HEC is fairly decent IMO DOnt think they could have reduced them anymore

    Bobby,
I have one in Musgrave Park and it is towards the end of the stand. I asked this question last year for TP and I was told it would be the sections at the ends also.

Would love to be offered Full Membership simply because I go to most of games and well it'd be alot let hassle. Like they didn't reduce match ticket but stil if you were to buy all them games individually it'd be a little bit more and alot more hassle. Also the discounts help too for different things.

Quick question .... Just because I a bit slow but is it Full Members are offered renewal first and then works way down based on number or what?

No time differential between existing full and associate members. Only tme differentials are for new associAtes and for those renewing with existing tickets.
When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies? Perhaps to be too practical is madness. To surrender dreams, this may be madness. To seek treasure where there is only trash. Too much sanity may be madness. But maddest of all -- to see life as it is, and not as it should be!"

Being lead purchaser is straightforward and easy to renew the same tickets.

The only problem I ever had was when I added a 3rd member under 'my control', I couldn't buy 3 seats in a row unless I let my original 2 go and moved to a new space in the stand which I didn't want to do.

So this year I guess I will have to renew membership on the 23rd but not select my new seats until the 30th and hope the places where there are 3 seats in a row will be decent'

The system of knowing where you are on the AM list for Full Membership seems cumbersome. I would suggest that those who ceased /did not renew AM membership be allocated an " A" prefix and those AMs still in membership be allocated new numbers in numerical sequence so at least every AM knows exactly where they are as regards getting to become a FM. Being first on the waiting list at number 3220 is just mind boggling . You need to have the sense that you can are within the next 1,000 to become a FM to continue being an AM. Would MRSC review this going forward as the present system to most people is difficult to understand !!!!
