After viewing Warburtons professionalism on sat i wouldn't want him the near the job....at least cuthbert still tried in same game......sicknote was an embarrassment.

I don't think Warburton will start for Wales this season and I also think wales are going to struggle like feck, the reason? Adam Jones is out and he is comfortably the most important player in the Welsh side. Hopefully this won't result in fewer Welsh players in the lions squad; at least we can be thankful that Gatland will probably be shamelessly partisan in his selection and fill the squad with loads of welsh which suits me just fine.
Adam jones is huge blow to Wales. Think for the tour their full backline could be brought and possibly Scott or Liam Williams. If Lydiate is fit he'll definitely go too
The Gavin Hastings Lions XV:
15. Lee Byrne, 14. George North, 13. Brian O'Driscoll, 12. Jonathan Davies, 11. Tim Visser, 10. Jonny Sexton, 9. Danny Care, 8. Nick Easter, 7. Chris Robshaw, 6. Stephen Ferris, 5. Courtney Lawes, 4. Richie Gray, 3. Adam Jones, 2. Matthew Rees, 1. Joe Marler
He was as lame as a duck. Not the metaphorical lame duck either, but a real duck that was actually lame. Maybe from stepping on a land mine or something.
Hastings obviously hasn't got a rashers, the poor chap.
"That's what's difficult. You know that O'Connell is going to be the one that will jump for the ball but you still don't manage to steal it. It's kind of annoying
"I talked about it with the Toulouse players, my final in 2006 and theirs in 2008 against Munster. I was marking Paul O'Connell and they were man-marking him too. We knew he was going to jump. But I remember I was in really good condition, with a good lift, but every time I just missed it."

Zebo at full back.
Healy will be starting loose head unless injured. Getting better and better every game
I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain

I always enjoy this for a bit of a laugh on a monday morning.
Here are a few interesting ones from the BBC
Jeremy Guscott's Lions XV: Halfpenny (Wales), Cuthbert (Wales), O'Driscoll (Ireland), Roberts (Wales), North (Wales); Sexton (Ireland), Phillips (Wales); Jenkins (Wales), Best (Ireland), A Jones (Wales), Charteris (Wales), Gray (Scotland), Ferris (Ireland), Warburton (Wales), Heaslip (Ireland).
Keith Wood's Lions XV: Halfpenny (Wales), Bowe (Ireland), J Davies (Wales), O'Driscoll (Ireland), North (Wales); Sexton (Ireland), Phillips (Wales); Jenkins (Wales), Best (Ireland), A Jones (Wales), Gray (Scotland), AW Jones (Wales), O'Brien (Ireland), Warburton (Wales), Ferris (Ireland).
Andy Nicol's Lions XV: Halfpenny (Wales), Bowe (Ireland), Tuilagi (England), Roberts (Wales), Visser (Scotland); Sexton (Ireland), Phillips (Wales); Jenkins (Wales), Hartley (England), A Jones (Wales), Gray (Scotland), Lawes (England), Ferris (Ireland), Warburton (Wales), Faletau (Wales).
Jonathan Davies's Lions XV: Kearney (Ireland), Bowe (Ireland), O'Driscoll (Ireland), Tuilagi (England), North (Wales); Sexton (Ireland), Care (England); Sheridan (England), Best (Ireland), Cole (England), AW Jones (Wales), Lawes (England), Ferris (Ireland), Tipuric (Wales), Heaslip (Ireland).
I think following game one of Autumn tests Sexton is the standout 10, have to see how Flood goes against Oz, Boks and ABs but think sexton is best there. Was very disappointed with the entire Welsh backline!
Keith Woods backrow looks awesome! But i still think Easter should go, is the best 8 about at the moment. Tipuric to over take Warburton.
Captaincy is the next issue, warburton didn't really show much leadership against the Pumas. Robshaw was sensible in his decision making, O Connell and BOD currently sidelined. POCs future in doubt with constant injury:-( It could become a last man standing gets the role of Captain

The 2005 Lions were built too much around the successful, but past-it, England 2003 team. I fear the 2013 Lions will repeat the same mistake with this year's 2012 Welsh team.
The 2009 squad at least had an Ireland and Munster core, which was justified at the time.
So ideally, some country is going to need to come with a run in the 6N, and form the basis of next summer's squad. England look the best bet at the moment, but it's not inspiring.
Where is the form potential Lions captain????
"Playing against ROG, your big game plan is to try and pressure him but he’d dump it off to Wally and next thing you’re five metres behind the gain line because he was an absolute freak." Rory Best, Irish Examiner, May 2012
Can't remember the last time there were so many slots up for grabs heading into a 6 nations. Even the captaincy will be decided in the 6N I think.
Most of the most established front runners seem to be out injured, so it can only be the 6 nations that decides on the likes of Jones, POC, Best, Ferris, SOB, Kearney etc.
"We will not walk in fear, one of another. We will not be driven into an age of unreason if we dig deep into our history and remember we are not descended from fearful men" Edward R Murrow
"Little by little, we have been brought into the present condition in which we are able neither to tolerate the evils from which we suffer, nor the remedies we need to cure them." - Livy
\"A million monkeys with a million crayons would be hard-pressed in a million years to create anything as cretinous as Battlefield Earth.\"
although based on today unless the Lions get the absolute best players possible out there fully fit this is a tour of disaster waiting to happen. England were blown away at the breakdown and out wide today so chances of relying on fielding a big English pack to dominate are dead in water right now.

How can a so called rugby expert & a player of vast experience have no idea about a potential team. For one Davies is a 13 predominantly & Roberts will play 12.
For me.....Healy, Strauss, Jones, Gray, POC, Ferris, Warburton, Falateu, Philips, Sexton, Visser, Roberts, Tuilagi, North, Kearney
Obviously loads of injuries will happen but fully fit I think those lad are the best in their positions in the the B&I countries,
The only thing lance is on is his bike 6 hours a day, busting his ass, what are you on?
So far its almost panning out the exact opposite to what i expected, Wales dominated in 1st 2 games, Ireland poor against Boks, England failed to create enough against Oz, Scotland probably put there hands up the most after being beaten well by ABs but gave it a good lash as they did against Boks.
Still think Halfpenny will be 15 and kicking. Care to stay at 9 (despite his poor kick costing England a try). I'd NOW have Visser on a wing ahead of Cuthbert, Ashton on the other. Centres probably Manu at 13 so far, 12 is up for grabs (D'arcy did alright against the Boks), 10 could be now between Flood and Sexton, Priestland has taken so many steps backwards!
The pack, Cole to start at Tighthead, Strauss at Hooker, loosehead could be between Healy and Marler (very similar to each other), 2nd rows Richie Gray and AN Other, waiting on another one to their hand up and grab the opportunity. Backrow will be most interesting, Warburton in my eyes has now been overtaken in the welsh setup and now Lions by Tipuric, Blindside i'm leaving until i see Ferris, SOB and Lydiate back (expect all 3 to travel), No.8 anyone?? Morgan out of the England selection currently, Faletau is doing alright with a faultering Wales, Heaslip i think is a bit off the mark at the moment, needs to find the form he had when Leinster won the HC 1st. Dave Denton to push for 6/8 as well
