In this democracy I as a citizen reserve the right to stand up for what I believe in
In this democracy I as a citizen am not accountable to the government
In this democracy the government is accountable to us, the people
In this democracy the government is elected by us, the people
    To represent us, the people
In our best interests, on a national and international scale
And if they’re not doing so, In this democracy, I as a citizen reserve the right
    To rise up

God does not close one door but opens another and seeing how this 41k is not taxed overall Mick is better off and in his book that is all that counts.

It really is time this FFer in disguise is kicked out of the Dail and left to face his 50m debts as many others have to, am sure Clare will keep him in pints/wine/grub when the skirts of TD protection are ripped away, he knew everything before he ran for the Dail but went ahead anyway.

Mick Wallace shaking things up in the Dail

I really do detest that 'leaders allowance' scam perpetrated for years by the likes of Lowry & Haely Rae & now Wallace. 41k TAX FREE courtesy of us the taxpayers. What happened to FG's promises of Cleaning up the house & new politics? The electorate need to grow some serious cojones. When they come looking for more they'd want to first start with themselves.

It was the same as most of the rest of their promises (not one more red cent to the banks yadda yadda yadda) - total rubbish they said knowing that there wasn't a chance they wouldn't be in power in some way. They could have promised everyone in the country a free penguin if they wanted. They'd never be held to any real scrutiny because the alternatives are so rubbish. Fianna Fail again? Sinn Fein (boooo). Independents? Labour (lolsocialists)? A new party (good luck with that)?

It'll never, ever change in Ireland. We'll lurch from one crowd of chancers to the other with the occasional gobsheens taking credit for external economic headwinds outside their control filling our sails for a while.
