Wonder will Timmy start for the Dragons? Be interesting to see. BTW always thought that Dave was a loosehead?

He played a lot at loose head. But he can also manage THP. It could be a good thing if he developed and comes back some day.
My hair is more important than timekeeping!
He always looked better at LH for us but then being TH for Munster around that time was no fun at all, whoever was standing in.
The fact he's been named at 3 and not Perugini (I'd have expected an 80 cap international to cover TH and not an Irish young fella) is quite a statement...of what I'm not sure! Best of luck to him, looking forward to seeing him play again.
Tim not named in the squad, and not down as injured either. Anyone know anything about this?
Dragons squad for Zebre
Dan Evans, Tom Prydie, Will Harries, Andy Tuilagi, Ashley Smith, Jack Dixon, Pat Leach, Lewis Robling, Steffan Jones, Wayne Evans, Jonathan Evans, Tom Brown, Toby Faletau, Hywel Stoddart, Dan Lydiate, Jevon Groves, Andrew Coombes, Adam Jones, Ian Nimmo, Dan Way, Nathan Buck, Nathan Williams, Phil Price, Hugh Gustafson, Sam Parry, Steve Jones.
Players not selected through injury;
Joe Bedford, Adam Hughes, Tonderai Chavhanga, Jamie Smith, Matthew Pewtner, Dan Watchurst, Darren Waters, Lewis Evans, Rob Sidoli
Did anyone see this game? Anyone hear how Dave did? I think we could be watching this space closely especially if we lose BJ

Sorry. There wasn't much in the scrums? As in not much between the teams or Zebre didn't have much of a scrum?
My hair is more important than timekeeping!
Well, there apparently weren't many scrums, and of those there were neither side seemed to be getting an advantage. Dragons wouldn't have the best scrum, their fans seemed fairly pleased with how it went. I'm sure all will be revealed over the next few games, but it is a good sign he's getting two starts in a row at TH.
I suppose the zebre pack working 'well as a unit' after ryan's departure isn't the greatest news.
from bbc report:
The concern for Dragons coach Darren Edwards, though, must have been how his side dropped the intensity in the second half having established such a big lead.
Zebre, with the pack working as a unit and a wily scrum-half in 14-cap Italy international Tito Tebaldi behind, put pressure on the Welshmen for quite a while in the second period but failed to find a route to the line.
But although they had to settle for a solitary Prydie penalty in the second period, they ended Friday night sitting proudly on top of the Pro12 table, although next week they go to Dublin to face last season's runners-up and Heineken Cup champions Leinster.

I think you're adding 2 + 2 and getting 5 there.
That said, both himself and Perugini have earned the night off tonight!
Article in the IT today says that Dave Ryan is actually an Italian project player. Italy, taking young Irish props!

Have to admit I have dropped off in the monitoring of the Ryan lads the past month or two.

Taz-Where did you get that information as I have seen nowhere that he(Penney) was ruled out?
Editor - The writer stands by the Penney information.

Editor-- This article originally said Rob Penney had missed out on the Munster coaching job. That information was incorrect.
part of me says "well done dave ryan"
part of me says "where would we be if a 26yr old mike ross had declared for england"?
I'd say that we are going to see this happen with prop forwards more and
more.. peaking later as they do.
