Jeebus they're good! I never think of them as anything else other than Munster rugby men. I hope they power on.

You would be right. One more definitely. A more upbeat number.
Here are another two originals they recorded a while back

Great stuff from the lads again, love the fact that the videos are being shot in the old Friary.
Could it be possible of a future performance in *******?
Gibson got an airing on Today FM this morning, Louise Duffy had been told they were a band to watch for 2012 so she played it today.
Sounded good too.
their original stuff is definitely different, good with some blue-grass influence showing but quite quirky all the same.

Taz-Where did you get that information as I have seen nowhere that he(Penney) was ruled out?

Editor-- This article originally said Rob Penney had missed out on the Munster coaching job. That information was incorrect.
for those who may not have heard/seen Hermitage Green they played on the Saturday Night Show this past weekend, check it on the RTE player ~48mins in.
I was at their EP gig in Dolans last week .. fantasic set list from them, including a very emotional moment from Barry speaking about Paul Darbyshire before singing the song they created in his memory "a song for paul". Have to say both the song & Barry's words beforehand brought back a lot of memories for me.

Damn, keep getting a "Media errorID: 16 ... Stream not found" message after 52 minutes, just after the end of their first song.
Never mind perception because it isn’t real. It’s only what people think. Go out and make them think something else.

Twas curious in an admirable kind of a way that Munster and rugby weren't mentioned on the Saturday Show by Mr O'Connor, of Cork. I was well impressed with the tune.

Anybody see Tipoki's sister singing the NZ anthem at the Suncorp on Saturday ?

Alf McCarthy played them just a while ago on RTE Radio 1 show - Late Date?

They only played the one song and he didn't do any sort of interview/chat with them from what I saw on the RTE player.
The EP is up on iTunes & has 4 originals on it. 2 of the originals are/were on You tube - Gibson, Live on. Barry & Dan seem to alternate lead singer duties from song to song. Barry's lead for Golden Rule & Live On, while Dan is Lead for gibson & Aisling.
Darragh Griffin is the songwriter .. apparently studying music in UL, himself & Dan seems to be serious guitarists.. see their cover of Rodrigo y Gabriela. the other Darragh I think was an athletics type.. he seems to be exchanging comments with Simon Zebo on twitter to that effect anyhow joking about which of them might beat David Rudisha, Zebo's sister was also a sprinter, both she & Darragh retired from Athletics recently, she's the band manager still.
They do lose Felix's replacement from time to time as he's got commitments to a couple of other bands, but he's a wicked bodhran player. he does a big solo piece during the gigs.

The boys seem to be going from strength to strength since the australia tour, they seem to be popping up on radio shows all over the place. Their tribute to Paul Darbyshire "a song for paul" is to be their next youtube video release.
The certainly seem to have an albums' worth of original material now, but no idea when they'll get a chance to record it ! Maybe they'll do a live album from the Academy gig this weekend, or the Dolans gig at the end of March...
