For those of you who don't go too overboard tonight with the Arthur's Day stuff, Brendan Benson is playing in Dolan's tomorrow night. I saw him here in Galway on Tuesday night and he put on an excellent show. Its just him and a keyboardist/violinist playing accoustic sets and it is well worth catching him while he's in Ireland.

He is one of the better songwriters out there at the moment and he knows how to craft a great tune. His production work on the White Stripes albums he produced and his work with the Raconteurs is a testament to his talents. His solo work doesn't get the same level of recognition for whatever reason, but i guarantee, you're in for a treat if you go to one of his gigs over the next few days.

    He's in Dolan's tomorrow (friday 24th sept)
He's in the INEC Killarney on Saturday (25th sept)
and he's in Cork's Cyprus Avenue on Tuesday (28th Sept)

After that he plays in Kilkenny, Tullamore, Dublin and Mullingar so there's plenty of opportunities for people to see one of these great shows.

Just in from the gig, really enjoyed it. Pretty sure the entire
crowd was hungover, God knows I still am, but well worth.
It is useless to attempt to reason a man out of a thing he was never reasoned into.

Every plan I have is the best plan in the room. Everybody get quiet and listen to it, and everybody will win
