Hi All,
    </font>

Aplogies for the delay with this weeks information.

    We
are pleased to advise that the London Branch are no longer a Proposed
branch. Official status has been granted by MRSC Committee and
    management.

Thank you to all who have made this possible so far.

    We
have received numerous messages of support from MRSC Manager Jennifer
Kiernan, Chairman Ian Buckley and Vice Chair Glenn Flanagan. We have
been working closely with the MRSC Committee and foresee a great future
for the London Branch. You are welcome to meet with us all next week in
reading, a meeting point has been secured and will be announced on Monday</span></span> via www.mrsc.ie</font></span></span> .

    Now to this weekends game,

    A massive game for Munster.
This weeks Venue for London Branch Meeting Point will be The Sheephaven Bay in Camden.

    The
nearest tubes are: Mornington Crescent (.2miles), Camden Town
(0.3miles) and Euston Square (0.6miles). Nearest rail stations: Euston
(0.5 miles), Camden Road (0.5miles) and St Pancras (0.8 miles).

    See you there.

    **************

    Dear All,

There is currently a group of London based Munster Supporters looking into the possibility of an MRSC London branch. They are looking for interested parties to join them at this crucial formation stage to both help get the branch up and running and fully affiliated to the MRSC, and also for those who are just interested in watching games etc.

Their first meeting will take place in central London the week of 23rd August (date/time to be confirmed based on feedback to ensure maximum attendance) in the Irish Club (2-4 Tudor Street, London EC4Y 0AA). Transport links can be obtained here ( https://irishclub.memberstatements.c...urs.cfm?TourID =57514)

If you are interested in this potential new branch, or for further details on the progress to date, drop me a PM and I'll forward the relevant contact details.

    Excellent stuff,,Hope all goes Well.

Fingers get burned when the home fire is stoked in Munster. I suggest that any rugby fan who hasn\'t visited Thomond Park should get over there for the next Heineken Cup match. Only by being in Limerick on a big match day can you understand why the place is such a fortress.

Best of luck with this new venture. I'm sure there are many many expat Munster supporters in the London area, and if you can motivate &amp; unify them to meet &amp; travel regularly you'll have a lot of fun.

p.s. I wonder does Pat in The Sheephaven Bay see this as a threat?

Bump. I've not been involved thus far, but I'm now on the mailing list. Seems very well organised.

Hi all... just an update on the venue for this friday's game against Edinburgh.... come on up if you are stuck for a place to watch the game, or want to chat to some other Munsterfans, shake your fist at the tv or give out about George Hook..

<S&#079;NG><S&#079;NG>Friday 10th September (trial 2nd venue for away game Vs Edinburgh) Kick Off 19:05</S&#079;NG></S&#079;NG>

The venue for this can now be confirmed as the <S&#079;NG><S&#079;NG><S&#079;NG>Marquis of Granby</S&#079;NG></S&#079;NG></S&#079;NG>, 142 Shaftesbury Avenue, London WC2H 8HJ. This location is very central and the nearest tubes are: Leicester Square (230m), Covent Garden (320m), Tottenham Court Road (380m), Piccadilly Circus (530m) and Charing Cross (660m) which also contains rail links.

    How to find it:

From Leicester Square: Head up Charing Cross Road until you get to Cambridge Circus, junction with Shaftesbury Avenue. Turn right into Shaftesbury Avenue and the pub is just around the corner on the right. From Tottenham Court Road: Take the Charing Cross Road exit (mind the junkies) and head down Charing Cross Road to Cambridge Circus. You should be able to see the pub as you approach Shaftesbury Avenue - it's just across the road.

Isn't the Marquis of Granby run by yer man Richard who used
    to run the Lyric nearby?

You should be OK as long as there isn't a Man U game on

Kieran says he wants to clear out the riff-raffIts only a trial venue for this week at this stage.

Sat 18th September (trial 3rd venue for home game Vs O’s) Kick off 20:00

The venue for this week, as has been previously advised, is O'Neill's, 40 Great Queent Street, London WC2B 5AA (in Holborn) This location is again very central and not far from last weeks venue. The nearest tubes are: Holborn (270m), Covent Garden (300m), Leicester Square (600m), Tottenham Court Road (650m), Temple (690m)

    How to find it:

Turn right out of Covent Garden tube down Long Acre. Cross onto Great Queen Street. Out of Holborn tube, cross over Kingsway onto Great Queen Street (look to your left as you exit the station).

Kieran's a good guy - he has always shown Ulster games for us on at least one screen, even when there has been a big football game on at the same time.

Only problem with that O'Neills is the U-shaped and narrow layout so the viewing angles aren't great on some of the screens if there is a lot of people.

If you are lucky enough to get a good seat, they usually do table service so you don't even need to get up to get a drink.

Would also be intersted but the City is about an hour away for me.

I tend to go to Ganleys in Morden and for me its topnotch (an oasis) and Conor the Bar Manager get it right everytime!

One massive large screen, 6 very big flat screens and two mini screens. - 4 Sky feeds. Munster Rugy / GAA and Irish sports come first but never a prob as the pub is set up with speaker/volume areas that don't clash.

I have no connection to Ganleys except been going there for a pint of the black stuff now for over 8 years

Do you have a venue for watching the Munster Leinster match this evening (or where it will be shown in London).

If so can you post it on the site.

    Hi Mike

The weekly update pasted below : (triple digit crowd expected)

    Hi All,

Game day venue for tomorrow reminder
Game day 5 (away to Leinster) trial venue confirmed

Sat 2nd October (trial 5th venue for away game Vs Leinster) kick-off 19:30
The venue for this week has been confirmed as the Sheephaven Bay in Camden (2 Mornington Street, London NW17QD). The nearest tubes are: Mornington Crescent (.2miles), Camden Town (0.3miles) and Euston Square (0.6miles). Nearest rail stations: Euston (0.5 miles), Camden Road (0.5miles) and St Pancras (0.8 miles).

How to find it:As you exit Mornington crescent tube, look across the road to the right and you will see a road going slightly uphill. This is Mornington Crescent road. About 20 metres up Mornington crescent road, you come to Arlington road. Take a right here and walk 50 metres. Take the first left. This is Mornington street. The Sheephaven Bay is clearly seen on your right.

If you can make it Saturday night, or are maybe going to attend, can you please let me know by return email so that we can reserve a relevant size section in the bar?

*This will be our second visit to this venue as we feel this weekend is perfect to answer the remaining questions we have on the venue and also to get a larger amount of members attend. To re-cap, we visited this venue on our 1st trial week which was a smaller match on the pitch, and indeed, our own database was in a formative stage and we had 30+ attendees. The survey feedback received was very positive on the venue, but it was a much smaller sample than subsequent trials and thus we would hope to gauge feedback from a larger group given our increased size and the higher profile opposition

Don't forget the banner lads!! Have a good evening.
"This was the performance Ireland had been threatening all championship but had only managed to produce in fits and starts. Defeats at the hands of France and Wales had put paid to their title aspirations, never mind a Grand Slam, but yesterday’s emphatic 24-8 win shows that this is a team moving in the right direction."
