Thread: CYCLING

I think at this stage they should nearly just draw a line under the past and start again. Everybody in cycling will have taken something, knowingly or not, over the years. If you dig deep enough then the whole existence of the sport is a joke. Draw a line now, if you get caught then your banned for life...zero tolerance...its the only way they will learn
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people

Roche had a mechanical at the beginning of the 2nd last climb. Considering that he did well to keep the losses down
The only thing lance is on is his bike 6 hours a day, busting his ass, what are you on?

Didn't realise that TG....i was looking at live streaming on Spanish website...my spanish not that good...Didnt notice Roches mechanical issue...but he was definitely there with main riders at start of final climb...did well so.

I didn't see it myself, just going on what was said on boards.ie. It may have taken a lot of out him to get back to the pack before the final climb. Small things can make a big difference at that level. He's in great form at the moment. Outside chance of top 5, 7th at the moment.

It was steep and undulating ...ranging from 7deg up to 15deg....but relatively short at 7km...alpe dhuez is double that or the really brutal.ventoux in the alps which nearly. 23k......but none the less a brutal climb.

On roche his climbing has improved over the summer since his first few days in the alps in tdf.

Had a nice day for the Sean Kelly tour of Waterford on Sunday, finished the 100km route in just over three and a half hours which I was reasonably happy with. Even had a sandwich and a cup of tea with the man himself afterwards! Next up is the Chain Gang 150km Blasket Blast in September. Anyone else doing that one? It is on the same day as the Rebel tour in Cork which is a pity as I'd like to have done that too.

I think they are listed on the cycling Ireland website as leisure cycles.
