Patchy run out for Manning at Xv put some pressure back on Newcastle this weekend.
Try at one end, before a brain fart led to his coach saying this to the press:
"It was just mad," he said. "We were sitting comfortably at 20-7 up, zero was on the clock and we got an absolutely tremendous defensive turnover. Instead of kicking to touch to finish the half, somebody decides we are going to boot the ball downfield straight to the Leeds players, who then went and scored. He apologised after the game, but I'm sick of hearing it.
"These are experienced players that I have brought in, but it's just utter madness."
The "somebody" was Manning. Newcastle still have the better run in and a game in hand, but I think he might be in for a long week at training.
