Haven't seen it but 'The Wire' is meant to be good viewing.
"That's what's difficult. You know that O'Connell is going to be the one that will jump for the ball but you still don't manage to steal it. It's kind of annoying

"I talked about it with the Toulouse players, my final in 2006 and theirs in 2008 against Munster. I was marking Paul O'Connell and they were man-marking him too. We knew he was going to jump. But I remember I was in really good condition, with a good lift, but every time I just missed it."

I've been loaned the West Wing by someone who watched all of it when they were temporarily unemployed. I've got three episodes in. It's brilliant and I loved it, but I find it daunting looking at that great pile of DVDs and the hours and hours that need to be spent watching it when I could or should be doing something else. I'm the same with an overfilled plate of food; however hungry I was to begin with, I lose my appetite about four forkfuls in.

I'd love to sit down and watch most of the series mentioned here, but I just can't bring myself to justify the time spent.

Though I must admit I got up to season 4 of 24 in the space of 2 months by putting them on the laptop and watching them when I was on the rowing machine or the exercise bike over the last winter.

when i finally sit down around 9ish and just wanna unwind, I throw on an episode from a box set. not sitting at home every evening watching tv,or watching epsiode after episode.just one here and there. it took me an age to get through the wire, still only on series 4 but want to get the next set of dvd's to chill out with when i get the chance in the evenings. suppose with eves getting brighter there will be less and less tv. although the world cup is on this summer!!

Entourage & The Inbetweeners - both incredibly easy to watch

Band of Brothers - captivating

others mentioned above worth a look as well

don't think Rome has been mentioned yet

also movie-wise, invest a day in the 3 LotR's back to back-extended versions

Entourage season 5 wasn't great, season 6 was a definite improvement, I was getting worried and thought it had run it's race after seeing 5 but bear with it

Would definitely recommend Dexter. It's a really original show
and horribly addictive.
Very little on this earth can beat soaking your body back to life in a warm bath after an afternoon of cold rain, mud and pain with the prospect of pints and high jinks ahead. A warm glow envelopes you.

Season 1 and 2 are good. Didn't think much of Season 3... Season 4 is a slight improvement

Californiacation is very good, David Duchovny is excellent in it.

Trauma is new and should be out on box set soon, so far it's been very good.
