I like a few of the newer ones too(for easy viewing)- Doll house & Fringe
Deadwood and The Thick of It, two great series.
Haven't seen it but 'The Wire' is meant to be good viewing.
"That's what's difficult. You know that O'Connell is going to be the one that will jump for the ball but you still don't manage to steal it. It's kind of annoying
"I talked about it with the Toulouse players, my final in 2006 and theirs in 2008 against Munster. I was marking Paul O'Connell and they were man-marking him too. We knew he was going to jump. But I remember I was in really good condition, with a good lift, but every time I just missed it."

Still Game is a comedy series from Scotland - it's fair funny....
Sometimes you\'re the pigeon and sometimes you\'re the statue.
I'd love to sit down and watch most of the series mentioned here, but I just can't bring myself to justify the time spent.
Though I must admit I got up to season 4 of 24 in the space of 2 months by putting them on the laptop and watching them when I was on the rowing machine or the exercise bike over the last winter.

He was as lame as a duck. Not the metaphorical lame duck either, but a real duck that was actually lame. Maybe from stepping on a land mine or something.

Criminal Minds ... addictive
Life (Charlie Cruz) ... only two series made but well worth watching
Lie To Me (Tim Roth)
House
The Mentalist ... rent it for a week for 10 quid
Entourage & The Inbetweeners - both incredibly easy to watch
Band of Brothers - captivating
others mentioned above worth a look as well
don't think Rome has been mentioned yet
also movie-wise, invest a day in the 3 LotR's back to back-extended versions
or the Tarantino box set is class
Classic Lievremont
Entourage season 5 wasn't great, season 6 was a definite improvement, I was getting worried and thought it had run it's race after seeing 5 but bear with it
Would definitely recommend Dexter. It's a really original show
and horribly addictive.

Californiacation is very good, David Duchovny is excellent in it.
Trauma is new and should be out on box set soon, so far it's been very good.

Yes Minister & Yes Prime Minister best written comedyseries of all time and excellent acting (how did Humphrey learn the lines).
Jeeves & Wooster again excellent writing and performances from Fry & Laurie
