He is the Thomond out half, good player, good friends with Keith Earls since their St Nessan’s days.

Plays with Thomond. Haven't seen him play myself but he was behind me in school and i have heard from alot of people around that he is a class act. Probably could have moved up to a Division 1 club by now but is Thomond through and through.

Talented player by alla ccounts.Went under the radar a bit coming, probably because he didnt play with one of the big senior cup schools. He'd be about 21/22I reckon.

Im surprised that Tadgh Bennett never seems to get a run out at this level. Doesnt seem to be in the reckoning at all.

Excuse my ignorance please Bosh. I live in Canada these days and despite my frequent letters to the editor, the reporting of the AIL in the Montreal Gazette is still pish poor.

Thanks for the info lads.

I m only messing buoy, didn't mean offence. I don't know too much
about him either. But we should focus more on AIL! And I m very
jealous of your residence!

Tadgh is too dodgy defensively.

Played a bit with him and always thought he was quite dogged defensively.Goes low, gets you. Although he was always a bit slight, could be barrelled over alright.Especially at a higher level.

No offence taken Bosh. Don't be too jealous. It'll be minus 20 here in a month or twoand I'll have to rub deep heat into my privates just to keep warm...at least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Wouldn't say he's that much under the radar, mcGahan had him in the first squad for the preseason games. Wonder why he has jumped ahead of Burke now though, after Burke got pretty much a full game against Leicester?

Very interesting to see McGahan is bringing him in and Barry
O'Mahony back into the set-up, he's clearly been keeping an eye on
guys who are doing their stuff in the AIL.

Was up in Highfield on Saturday for the game against Thomond. He was not playing in the match but people were mentioning something about a move to garryowen for him.

I heard he's already gone. Heard that a few weeks ago

22. #22
Don't Garryowen have about 5,000 outhalves already? None of them who can kick for some reason, but in true french style they have Hurley and Murray taking kicks from scrumhalf?

Garryowen have a few 10s, but not that many. Kingsley has gone to YM. Andrew Burke is there alright, but not really starting, which is worrying. Willie Staunton is there, Conan Doyle is playing 13. It would probably suit him to so to Shannon to be honest.

BTW, its also worrying that Gerry Hurley is starting ahead of Conor Murray aswell. Murray has been benching in last two matches. Burke wasnt even in the sqaud, but I think he may be injured.

I remember Staunton being able to play wing and full back(much like his older brother),so maybe he could move. Kilroy is retired as well.

Strange if they had both Burke and Cusack to be honest.

Thomond's Cusack Comes on Board
8 October 2009, 11:00 am
By Fiona Murphy
Munster Rugby have offered Thomond outhalf Declan Cusack a training contract with the senior squad.
Munster Rugby believe 22 year old Cusack has the potential and physical attributes to further develop as an outhalf.

A training contract was offered in an effort to include Declan in training with the senior team in a professional environment for the season.

This is not the first time Munster have offered such a contract, Conan Doyle and Tom Gleeson both received same in previous seasons.

Munster Rugby manager Shaun Payne looked at the offer as "giving a young lad an opportunity and seeing how it develops".

Declan featured in the number 10 jersey recently for Munster A against Ulster A.

"Now, Say my name?"
"You're Heisenberg."
"You're Goddamn Right."

Had just heard yesterday he's given up his job with a view to training fulltime with a view to getting a contract down the line. Good to see he's willing to risk something to try and make it.
