Just wondering like! Stopped playing rugby a couple of years back and have put on about 2 stone and lost all conditioning. I'm going to have to do something, Nick Williams has given me the inspiration.

Friend of mine started a thing where u get these nutrition shakes from the chemist. They weigh u first and give u targets and then u take two shakes a day..........and nothing else!! Its meant to be a very fast way of losing it but its meant to be tough. I didnt think it sounded too healthy but he was saying u have to go to the chemist and get checked out each week before they give u the next dose of it!

No cure but thinking of going on a diet alright with a bit of exercise. Must weigh myself but reckon I'm around 18 1/2 stone. I very tall alright, but about 2 1/2 too heavy for my frame. I must weigh myself. Jesus this feels like weight watchers!

In April 2007 I was a few poundsover 22 stone. I changed my diet slightly and started walking. I lost over 4 stone in the first 4 months and am currenly just under 17 stone. I was down as far as 16 stone prior to last Christmas but thinks went slightly astray for a while. Following a recent stint in the Blackrock Clinic I am now trying to get down to 15 stone.

It's the shrinking cloths that gets me. I'm sure when I was younger washing cloths didn't have such an alarming affect on the size.

Must be some sort of clever marketing ploy....

I always accuse the missus of shrinking my clothes. She doesn't have the heart to tell me the truth!

That must be the Lipotrim, I know a few people that have been on that and have lost quite a bit of weight. They reckon the first week is the toughest getting used to not eating any solids but they liked the results. Wouldn't be my cup of tea though.

I don't think that's a very healthy way of doing it. I know someone who did it and they lost weight all right but look like death warmed up. I think you use 3200 calories per day. If you change your diet to take in less you'll lose weight. You don't have to go hungry as there are lots of foods that have little or no calories,a lot of vegetables, for example,so you can eat all you want of them. You won't be hungry but you will have cravings. For example, you have no idea how attractive a slice of bread and butter can be when you can't have it. A family member lost 6 stone in a yearby going to a crowd called Motivation in Limerick. They're at the bottom of Thomas Street.

Yeagh the Motivation Clinic are supposed to be good at helping you lose weight, but the biggest prob is keeping it off, patrticularly if your job is sedentaryu .... never had a prob when I was playing rugby, as soon as I gave up 2 stone .... lost it for 6 months 2 years ago by walking, swimming and not eating at night but couldnt keep it off .... winter came and comfort eating returned ..... takes 4 months to lose it and 4 weeks to get it back .... if anyone can come up with a cure to keep it off ill buy it
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

The meal replacement shakes definitely work but you need to stick at it long term. I'm going to weigh myself.....hang on......

From what I've seen of the Motivation method it's more a lifestyle change than a diet. They educate you in how to balance your intake of protein, carbohydrates etc and it becomes kind of automatic after a while as you keep thinking along those lines.3 or 4 pounds a week she lost by following it.

I can't point the finger at anyone since I've a few stone to lose myself,
but I'm a down a stone in the last month just by eating better and doing
more training.

Imo, the best way to lose weight is to get fit, and the best way to get fit,
if you're not with a team, is to set goals for yourself. For example,
there's a five mile run on Christmas day from the Hunt Museum to
Annacotty, aim to do it if you don't run at the minute etc.
It is useless to attempt to reason a man out of a thing he was never reasoned into.

Every plan I have is the best plan in the room. Everybody get quiet and listen to it, and everybody will win

Maybe someone better in the know will have a name for them but aren't there tablets you can take that stop you absorbing fat, my missus and her mother have been on about them a few times (without ever taking them), only problem apparently is if you do it fat they give you the squirts something rotten. Maybe that's how they work, you're too afriad to eat fat while taking them

i tried the lipotrim and stuck to it for, lost a stone in 3 weeksthen ended up in hospital. It works but it can have side effects like bad headaches, diarrhia and such. Drink loads of water if you do it.

It was the lipotrim as such that put me in hospital but complications associated with it. I can't do that but it works for some.

I am thankful that i have a hot girlfriend who thinks my belly is cute haha
