Also heard that ben segerant from Shannon is leaving and wants to sign with richmond. He came down one night last week looking for a transfer form..

ya id say he plays a massive part in terms of leading the team and perhaps they might los a bit of there nous in closing out games without him!!!might not make a difference aswelll though as its a chance for someone else to step up..
Humma's a loss but there are some excellent players behind him, so hopefully it won't impact us too much.

I agree with duffman, I'd say Clonmel only want to meet Richmond when they are good and ready. Clonmel are a vastly improved side but not yet the finished article. Best of luck to all sides this weekend, But I predict the top two to lose.

He's mainly been a 9/10 at u/age level. Not sure where he's been playing at adult level
Sargent is a 10/12 but did play 15 once or twice last season.
He played at 10 for the Shannon Young Munster match about 5/6 weeks ago and hasnt had a look in since

transfer deadline was the first weekend of the league . once it kicked off its a team cannot sign a player from the same province. was brought in over clonmel and galbally accident last year.

Only fair really too much crap last year with illegal players. Interesting to see what he plans on doing really if he cant play league with us is there a point in moving...
New to this forum guys but this is what I've been told re: transfers.
A player can transfer up to the 31st December and can play with his new club once all the paper work is done and registration is complete.
However if the player has played competitive rugby for his current club this season, he cannot play for his new club in that competition for the current season.

Hopefully thats right. It would seem unfair to penalise a guy that isn't happy with his current club and decides to move to a new club early in the season to get game time, especially where the new club plays in a different competition.
Afaik also that is correct. It certainly used to be Dec 31 for non AIL competitions

you can transfer from senior to junior up until the end of December, also-Ben sergeant was Shannons first choice 10 while tadgh Bennett was injured, Ben didn't play against landsdown because of an internal suspension within the club.
what was the internal suspension for?
Heard he had words with shannon last week hence why he arrived down to richmond. Tadgh is still out and will be for another few months.
internal suspension was imposed by the club for breach of discipline towards the end of the YM game, 1 week... the linesman in question was reffing the following week aginst landsdowne, tadgh is back within 3 weeks... and supposedly ben is signing with richmond or saints!
Law from recent expeirence says any player transferring from Senior to Junior had to be in at least 1 week before the League started.
