I think it a reflection of the fact that there's Richmond, and then the rest...I really didn't see that result against NCW coming today, it shows how good they are and Cross are clearly not that bad!

Richmond won 44-5. Great result was very surprised with that result. Taught it would be a lot closer.

I'd say Kilfeacle are average enough tbh. Don't think they have strengthened much from last yr. I'd be surprised if Cross don't improve though, would they have much from underage in recent years?

  4. #4744
Clonmel seem to be up there remember they beat Richmond last year too! Heard Crosshaven had a good few changes from last week but team still young! Kilfeacle results dont look over impressive! St marys look like they will be tough at home! Wonder how strong Galbally were heading down there? Cobh look to be well organised hard to beat id say...results really show how much teams dont take challenge cup serious, which is a shame for a great competition

Because of the time of the season the Challenge Cup is played it has effectively become a pre season warm up...which as you say is unfortunate.

Wonder should the reward for the finalists be playing in ******* park? also all junior clubs should be in it! the junior cup is a joke due to senior teams loading their teams!

Hit the nail on the head there. It's a sham now. You can't plan your pre season with it with regard planning friendly games etc. real pity. Was a great competition.

It's true they beat Richmond but they also lost badly at home to Tralee & Christians last year. If they can keep this momentum & keep their heads they could be in with a shout. But you can't trust this Clonmel side against anyone as the old saying goes they can "Beat the best & lose to the worst".

I'm finding the league very interesting this year so far and I can't wait to get a look at this Richmond outfit, I hear they've picked up a few good lads on transfers this year.

at the clonmel v senans game last two weekends ago and imo they are a very clincial side and know how to punish mistakes at ease, they are some coaching team infairness, how are tralee fairing this year??? have the o sullivans left completely

  21. #4759
Christians twitter says they got a red card in the 1st half, which prob makes sense.prob would have been a closer game if that didn't happen.clonmel seem to be going good so far but undoubtedly Richmond look very impressive so far based on results!!

Richmond looking untouchable, skibb and clonmel the only 2 who may challenge them...
Thomond, clon and d well all struggling in div 2b could mean 4 teams going down from munster div1... clan looking v poor will go down , i would not write cross off against kanturk this weekend also massive one for christians badly need the win. tralee v senans hardest one to call for me.
