First time posting so be gentle!! I'm an Old Christian man who is a bit more realistic about our hopes for the year. To start with we have lost a lot of quality players this season, much like other clubs have done over the past few seasons. Have lost 2 front rows, 4 second rows, (any going spare sending them our way!!) 1 backrow, 2-3 backs, we have got back 2 guys who played under 21's with senior clubs but came through our underage structure along with 1 backrow and 2 backs. Not sure all of the guys we have in will start but they will add to the squad, on a whole its probably not as strong as before but still a good bunch of lads. To say we'll be challenging for the title is very ambitious, I think the big thing for us would be building consistency, as mentioned by other posters quite rightly we have ups and downs throughout a season. Johnny Short has been with the club quite a while but has had a few injuries, hopefully he gets back into it this year as he could be a very good player.

I think its fair to say Richmond are the team to be beat and we'd all be very foolish to think otherwise, they are proven over the past few years and are capable of mixing their game up to suit the day. Outside of them if Kanturk can keep up the momenteum from last year they have a big chance as would Clonmel and Skibb. Theres no doubt that on any given Sunday that any team in the division is capable of beating any other, will be a great league hopefully.

Ger123 whats happening with Crosshaven, have ye lost a load of players or whats going on. Didn't see the scoreline against Senans coming

Hopefully Mike Kelleher will stay injury free for the season. if he does, he'll be a major player for the Mond. As will Tom O'Brien at 9 and Jeff Mac wherever he plays!

This new guy for Christians, Shortt, sounds good also. If Clan have signed Quinlan and Cregan they'll be better than last year. Coppinger for Skib is always solid.

conman u spend too much time watching richmond ha ha!! Ya he is the scrum half..

i think he will find it hard this season with the new rules at the back of the scrum, saw him been penalised a few times so far.

  26. #4584
Lads, keep the negative and subjective personal stuff out of this! He's an excellent player who unfortunately is based a long way from home and still turns out for his team.

Con Man, for a while there you were actually starting to post some 'normal' and relevant posts. Leave the personal slagging of players out of it!

When he feels like turning out isnt it!! senans last year if you have forgotten!

Also i think its a poor performance on a coach that plays a player that doesnt train with the team so far this season and then goes and drops another back as he isnt giving 100% in training...

Its not like we are short scrum halves.. Mossy is a great player and proved it last year.

    Predictions :
    Ncw to win,clan losing bp
    clonmel to win handy
    cobh,Tralee losing bp
    Galbally,wpark losing bp
    kanturk,christianslosing bp
    kilfeacle handy
    richmond with bp

  32. #4590
He is a very good player, has an excellent pass off either side and puts in more tackles than any backrow.
Will get better with more experience, also he travels from West Cork so his commitment to the Club is not up for debate.

BTW you should write 'their' and not 'there'.

Reference to your props, I would say that Richmond have arguably the best front row in the League so not sure where you are going with the personal attacks.

By any chance are you initials DC
