First time posting so be gentle!! I'm an Old Christian man who is a bit more realistic about our hopes for the year. To start with we have lost a lot of quality players this season, much like other clubs have done over the past few seasons. Have lost 2 front rows, 4 second rows, (any going spare sending them our way!!) 1 backrow, 2-3 backs, we have got back 2 guys who played under 21's with senior clubs but came through our underage structure along with 1 backrow and 2 backs. Not sure all of the guys we have in will start but they will add to the squad, on a whole its probably not as strong as before but still a good bunch of lads. To say we'll be challenging for the title is very ambitious, I think the big thing for us would be building consistency, as mentioned by other posters quite rightly we have ups and downs throughout a season. Johnny Short has been with the club quite a while but has had a few injuries, hopefully he gets back into it this year as he could be a very good player.
I think its fair to say Richmond are the team to be beat and we'd all be very foolish to think otherwise, they are proven over the past few years and are capable of mixing their game up to suit the day. Outside of them if Kanturk can keep up the momenteum from last year they have a big chance as would Clonmel and Skibb. Theres no doubt that on any given Sunday that any team in the division is capable of beating any other, will be a great league hopefully.
Ger123 whats happening with Crosshaven, have ye lost a load of players or whats going on. Didn't see the scoreline against Senans coming
