Did you even read my posts?!? I said I was aware of a player who told me he was offered money by Richmond to play. That is all I said and Richmond 'supporters' like you went off your nut at me.

I admitted I was wrong about the prop. At least I was big enough (excuse the pun) to admit that. I'm a big guy myself so it certainly wasn't meant as an insult. But can ye accept that?!?

    Absolutely pathetic. Get a grip.

Does this mean that 2 still go up? What if sundays well get relegated from senior?

  6. #4355
Will you act as ref if the 2 lads start fighting....?

  7. #4356
Is everyone still talking about the whole Clan/Kilfeacle issue. If you ask me both deserve to be in J1 rugby as they are a credit to Junior rugby and have carried it for the last few years. I honestly think that all this **** talk will spur both teams on this year to come in the top half of the league if not compete for top spot as they are both ruthless hard working teams that never lie down without a fight!!! #GalballyDown

And all Div 2 teams will have an unexpected free weekend in turn, commencing with Castleisland in Round 1.

Castleisland beat Kanturk 22-0. Shannon had mix of 20's and 21's. Tralee playing Killorglin today.

Shannon at one stage had 3 U21s, 10 under 20s and 2 who are under 19. Disappointing showing from Kanturk but may not have been their full panel. Castleisland had some strong physical boys.

Was anyone at this? Heard Senans deserved win as Mary's tries were all breakaway and had dominant pack and the battle in back was good. Can anyone comment on a missed pen for Senans when game was at 14-12 and this was a vital moment

Tournament to commemorate the late John Browne, former president and guiding light of Island, and also a leading light in Shannon (he employed Mike Galwey in his Heineken distribution business in the early days) and was one of a handful who revived the island club in the early 1980s and drove the purchase of grounds and building of clubhouse - great man and one hell of a gas character. Memorable moment when the great Frank O'Flynn and Galway and Tucker sang There Is an Isle over his grave in Kilbannivane, Castleisland. Died a youthful man.

    Transfield Cup - YM 23 Shannon 10

Ym started with a score after 1st attack. Continued to dominate til halftime, Shannon created some chances in 1st half but strong scramble defense helped Ym to a 18 nil lead, 13points from their 15 who went off at halftime. Ym Scored 1st again in 2nd half but than Shannon finished strong and scored 2 unconverted tries and could've had a 3rd but the ref ruled ball was helped up, off the scrum Ym got a pen and that was that

Win means a rematch of last seasons final between YM and Richmond at the Canal Bank on Sunday

What Ym team played? many first team players?

  28. #4376
Strong enough team, say bout 4 1st team players, 2 possible starters against Bohs at 15 and 7 this weekend. A lot of youth there and some good showings from a very young front row, all just out of school.

  29. #4377
On another interesting note, for all the GAA followers around Limerick, Tom Lee (limerick football midfielder of seasons past) played on the wing and scored YM's 3rd try

Heard Shannon had only 1 prop from the lads at the game, they gave the game to YM before the kick off..

I think the game this weekend will be a lot closer then the final last year..

Well said isola ciarrai! Didn't know the man but I've heard all about the good work he did for the island.
