I just got Neil Young's Rust Never Sleeps, absolutely class, first half is acoustic and the second half he's backed by Crazy Horse. Probably as famous for being quoted by Kurt Cobain in his suicide note the album is opened and closedby hey, hey, my, my, has Pocahantus, Powderfinger and Welfare Mothers too, and best of all, it's only a tenner. Well recommended.

Picked up a Neko Case and the Newest Erin McEoin albums today.

Neko case albun is good on fist listen - not startling. Her voice is as good as ever. Easily the best country voice around at the moment. (did I also mention the lady is a complete lash?)

Erin Mc Eoin album is lovely stuff. those of you who missed her in Dolans the last couple of times should really kick yourselves

    Last two albums purchased:

Audioslave - Revelations. Have listened to this a good few times since i bought it and it's just not working for me. Not a patch on Out of Exile.

My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade. I was pleasantly surprised by this. A strange mix between Greenday and Queen, but it works

What Jenta is listening to at the moment:

BRMC by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, not an easy group to categorise but it is very good.

Bought Sam's Town on Saturday. I think it's a class album. Bit of Bruce Springsteen influence or something, IMO.

Any one get Sharon Shannon's new DVD. Tried to buy it in Golden Discs(Jetland) but it was sold out- heard it is class.

Jenta and Ruck should be listening to Tool non-stop at the moment in preparation for their concert in a little over two weeks!

    Richard Hawley - Coles Corner.

Pure Genius, I've rarely seen sleeve art that tries to reflect the content of the album as well as this. The Ocean is a sweeping orchestral croon that conjures up images of walking on the beach on a clear, winter's day

I See a Darkness by Bonny "Prince" Billy is on its way from CDWOW as we speak...

Charles Mingus - Triumph of the Underdog DVD - superb. One of the greatest musical geniuses of the last 100 years, and a complete nut job to boot. Highly recommended.

Space Is The Place - Sun Ra. Very strange Blaxploitation movie staring the great Sun Ra, and featuring music by the man himself. Another space cadet, even madder than Mingus.

I've also recently discovered Weather Report - what a band.

Went to see I'm from Barcelona on Sunday night in Whelans. Unbelievable. Best gig I've been to in a long while. I'd highly recommend their album.
