Is that the only reason you're standing ?

Are AMs allowed to submit/propose motions as a matter of interest?

Count yourself lucky to have gotten one at all. And what has it got to do with the British and Irish Lions?

No not at all, I think there are lots of other issues which could be addressed !

  6. #6
Well if your standing and tickets is your main area to address can you please attempt to do something that address why we cant have an option to select tosit next to at least one other member for away trips, went to all the away games this year and last and i never get a ticket seated next to my Dad,we using the same e-mail, booking tickets at the same time, yet we could end upat oppostite ends of the grounds, surely the MRSC could have an option to do this
    In Kidney we'll always trust!!!

  7. #7
    no full members only

  8. #8
Seems to be more of a problem when ticketmaster issue tickets as in fairness I think MRSC got as many people seated beside each other when requested at time of ordering for home H C games.

Good to hear, but do you realise why you ended up with a terrace ticket ?

I'd advise you to find out the exact reason before you go any further. It's not that hard to find out...

No, the Ospreys were entitled to 25% of all available tickets but also the ERC were entitled to a cut of Category A tickets and those could only come from the MRSC's allocation. And at what point do you say to people you can have a stand ticket but this other person can't ? So I believe that is why they went with First Come, First Served - I'm open to correction on that but I'm fairly sure that is how it went.

So far you have mentioned tickets and nothing else?

Yes that is correct if he had applied early enough for tickets for the Osprey match he would have got a Stand ticket. When they ran out because Ospreys had been allocated some Stand tickets under the rules of ERC then they moved to allocate terrace tickets. Whats to be learned from this - the early bird gets the worm. Munster Rugby own system for ticket distribution is very good and reliable and it beats me why ERC decided to use Ticketmaster for the S/F and the resultant chaos. They should learn a lesson from this for the Final in Edinburgh.

They'll have a chance to explain it anyway, as the person who suggested it is going for nomination to the committee

    Where are the motions listed?
The politics of this would be very easy. The politics would be to be one of the lads, the safest way in Ireland. But I do not believe that the interests of this State or our Constitution and of this Republic would be served by putting politics before conscience in regard to this. There is a choice of a kind that can only be answered by saying that I stand by the Republic and accordingly, I will not oppose this Bill.

Yeah, it doesn't make sense. Surely the current rules encourages EVERYONE to get a combined season ticket (thereby giving extrarevenue to Munster Rugby), whereas the change he wants would mean it wouldn't matter whether you get a single venue or a combined venue. I'm not sure where he is coming from on it. If it was something open to a chosen few, you could see he might have a point, but it's available to everyone.

    Amended reading:

Within the category of Full membership no priority is to be given to for any tickets that may be available to the club. Members with single venue season tickets will have priority over those with no season ticket.

    Currently reads;

Within the category of both Full membership and Associate membership, members with a Combined Season Ticket (i.e. a season ticket for both venues) will have priority over members with a single-venue season ticket who in turn will have priority over members with no season ticket.

    Two thirds majority required.

Motion appears to want to eliminate priority for combined season ticket holders over single venue among Full Members only

Agreed Point. If there was a limit on those tickets there might be an
    argument.

As it is, you pays your money and takes your chance.
